  1. NOW SEE? HOW DIFFICULT WAS THAT? thankyou very much..... Nearly all of your answers were straight forward and to the point! I'll have to generate another list.. haha.... Just kidding for now. I appreciate you taking the time. thanks
  2. hahahaha yeah, my bad.. viet nam wa a long time ago. I was close like a hand grenade: pun
  3. If you slide off a trail into a chain link fence that does not have snow coverage, chances are that you will be impaled on a small tree that was cut during the off season. Far better that running into a tree I imagine, I just felt like picking on that little detail in spirit of cautiousness. Ahhhhh... I try and have tried the diplomatic approach numerous times, my list is endless with a certain bad attitude towards the customer, the specific numerous examples are not needed to be mentioned. CB is aware of this, did you get the customer satisfaction survey? did you fill it out? Most people here have moved on from personal experiences that they had. As mentioned, this whole board was formed from disgruntled patrons of CB. Doesn't that tell you something in itself. There is a reoccuring theme. CB is a huge machine and in my mind it would be very easy for them to turn it around. But hey, they don't have to, they are doing quite well. So.............. maybe you can help quiet me by answering these questions. Can you give me the specific dimensions of the grading on the new pipe in comparison with the old one, include the lengths. Also could you explain why they stopped where they did and not have it another 100' longer? Is the shack up on rhodo to check for passes yet? What rails and boxes are new this season? where is the list? Has the winch groomer ever really been used? Who runs the Zaugg? Has that person ever run one before? Why won't CB have gapped lips to the jibs in the park. Why are all the landings always flat on thier jumps? Why won't they give the race team a trail to practice on periodically that is similar in distance to race day? Why is thier marketing for the freestyle team but none for the race team? Why won't they open just the beginner park on weeknights for the kids to goof around on? Why aren't employees made to park away from the entrance. so that customers can park up close? when will the rangers be taught about inverts vs off axis.

  5. no hate dude, but think about what you are asking.. Do you think he is some kind of futuristic weather fortune teller. If he could provide those kind of details that you are requesting, I guarantee he would be somewhere else because NO ONE has that ability. IN other words, If Mark could make it cold enough to make snow, I guarantee you, he would. You have just as good a guess as him as to what the season will be like. Check out the weather and if it is going to be below 28 degrees FOR an extended amount of time, like 5 days or more then you can be assured that things will be good.
  6. THis is Bull.. many western resorts blow and groom without lights. it's more of a billboard first. Why are they so much more cautious, is this good for the customer? I bet they still have bungee stakes at the bottom of all the chain link fences........... go take a look some time.. OMG.... are you serious? Doesn't matter if it doesn't open and the jibs are of sub standard quality compared to other resorts. Rails? really? got any pictures or are you just reading and believing what they tell you? hahahhhaa. a small fraction bigger and certainly not any longer and here again, It will probably go like MC they will only open it in time for comps at the last month of the season. I know 4 out of 8 kids on that team. The concensus is that that program will not attract many students due to the USASA affiliation. A couple of them are on that team under duress. Read my closed thread that announced the program in the CB forum. I make it well known that CB does a little bit of everything and doesnt do any of those things exceptionally well. It is an interesting dynamic that the biggest mountain is so mediocre with its programs. OK, I will give them the pipe comparitively to others in previous years however I am betting that will change next year if not this year. besides, pipe is really old school and seems to be loosing it appeal in the park. Because they run it for the most profitibility. Season ticket holders demand too much and give little in return. Besides, it is well known that the water park carries the whole operation. I can't honestly say that if I owned it that I wouldn't run it the same way. However I don't own it. I am vocalizing my disappointment that my spoiled little brats give me such a hard time about it when I tell them they are skiing there.
  7. what makes them different than any other mountain - yeah that is the same song and dance they give for leaving the lights on all night... THat is bullshit Sure we will - I was personaly led to believe that there would be substantial changes with the new ownership. I have been told numerous times by long time loyal locals, to give up, "they will never change" I heard that! Interesting to see 3 people picking up trash under the lift at CB on sunday You get a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! weekday night skiers are locals with season passes. To pay that extra shift is expensive! WORD! Strong possibility. I would gladly take a refund for my season pass as it stands right now. hahahaha that actually is true, so true.......
  8. And to smellycheese, I like you and think you bring a lot to PASR, but get off of Blues dick. Its really starting to get annoying when you mention Blue in everysingle post you make.
  9. You are really wrong. There have been several nights that they could have been blowing snow and the only reason they are not open at night is because of profitibility. I have season passes and we do go elsewhere to ski. THey were wrong for not spreading out the snow they blew 10 days ago and opening up. the conditions might have been bad but it is even worse when there is nothing. does that make sense? No one yet has explained why a hill 20 miles away is in such great shape and was the first to open in our area, and yet CB has performed like a polar opposite. What makes things even worse is that they get a lot of press coverage touting how great they are. If there was a categorical statistical comparison using customer satisfaction, I am positive that they would rank at the bottom comparitively to other resorts.
  10. no he is definatly closer to uranus
  11. is he close to uranus? sorry............ nick - couldn't help it!
  12. WHOA WHOA WHOA.......................................... I did not/do not agree with letting PL go and I feel strongly that the mgmt is out to prove that they didn't need them, I will still give credit where credit is due and that is the fact that they have a sick park better than anyones anywhere for kids with skills possibly better than all in the eastern US... I have yet to see any video or photos compare to what was there this weekend. I know exactly where and what they are planning for this weekend. if it stays cold enough, look for epic and I mean epic stuff this coming christmas break. What we will never know is whether it would be better or worse if PL was still there. All I know is that they are way ahead of the curve now.. and that is what really counts to us.
  13. wait................... park passes rule!!!!!!!! oh! crap............... park passes to what? loller blades...
  14. Did someone say Big Boulder Park rules all right now? I thought so.
  15. DUDE.... bear is on it... if they can make snow, I assure you that they will blow. They can not help the warmer temp south of the hills that are blowing. Don't be so hard. BC is hurting a lot more than you are.

  17. These dates are on the calendar. December 20, 2006 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
  18. it was a joke... Besides, like you said you have boobs, whats the matter with you? do we have to show you everything? like how to use them? I don't see why you don't have all the park rats carrying your skis, getting you hot cocoa, giving step by step instructions, wiping your goggles, etc etc etc Hell I bet you could have them scrapping the snow from your boots for that matter...... wow... then I guess the noob trench really would work. wow , that sucks then cause sooner or later someone is really gonna get wrecked.
  19. you reading this metz?
  20. no way......
  21. I am thinking that due to the higher number of jibs and jumps combined with less traffic and then coupled with the way they will be organized that BB will be in a much better position to have superior maintenance because it won't get trashed as fast. Plus, I have been told that the parks will change thier layouts on a regular basis. For you newschoolers, message me for an invite.
  22. there are lots of park people I know going to BB saturday. I wouldn't worry about crowds, I don't think BB will have any crowds, on the other hand JF may be busier. The thought occured to me that the $25 JFBB internet ticket has gone by the wayside...
  23. pictures please.... I have never once got a decent explanation on why park passes are not instituted.. I did hear that instead of stairs, that Blue was considering putting a death gap that you had to jump over to qualify being the park, no worries though, the gap had a trail from it leading to the beginner park
  24. I was being extremely sarcastic. I mean why would they open and not have night skiing? They don't have night skiing when they are open during the day now because............................. As far as those freakin light go, it baffles me why they keep them on all night.... they say it is because of safety reasons. I wonder if they had something happen years ago while blowing snow at night before the lights.
  25. never, they cancelled night skiing this year. Glenn, you know whats up, well said. We too have passes there.
