X2...anywhere but those two places. If I didn't have to work, I'd return to Eagle Rock....I don't want to pay for a holiday ticket for only a couple hours. I would think their conditions should be pretty good by now.

1 person wearing a facemask. -13 degrees...any frostbite I had to work, so it wasn't worth coming over late. When I woke up at 6:30, it was -13. The dog looked at me like I was nuts, so I agreed and went back to bed.

JFBB Pre-PASR Day January 17th Jack Frost

Just got out of work a little bit ago. Already -6 in Lake Harmony. I'm beat and have to work Saturday, so a late start won't work for me. I think I might take a rain check until the 24th. I do plan on getting out Sunday morning....looks like maybe some light snow. I'm in a six day rut of not skiing, mostly due to being drained from a head cold . -

The wind doesn't get to you that much on the lifts because the slopes are sheltered from the wind, since it sits down in. -

VIP parking was actually done away with a couple years ago. The area you are referring to is for "authorized" people. A year or so ago, they let you park there and I was there all the time. A few years ago they charged for that area, for slope side parking. -

I'm probably the worst person there is for getting up in the morning. Outside of ski season I typically get out of bed around 12:30- 1:00, but I am able to change for ski season. -
Probably for the same reason that Tel star is a diamond at JF, even though it is almost flat....it leads to diamonds and there is no other way out.

At least he didn't get his pants ripped off.

If you're looking for no lines, go to Sno. If you want open glades go to JF. People were starting to hit Mark's Way during the last storm, but you could hear their board scraping on rocks...not quite enough snow there yet (for me anyway). Some of the other glades that get more blow over snow weren't too bad.

They might blow more. MLK weekend is coming up.

I heard about it on the radio a while ago.

No. There are only supposed to be a couple moisture starved clippers. Cold air masses like this tend to surpress storms to the south. Like a meteorologist said a few days ago, it's going to be too cold to snow. The atmosphere also gets really dry, so anything that tends to fall will evaporate. It's almost like a kick below the belt.

Just enough to ruin the snow that we got. I'm getting tired of having freezing rain with every snow storm.
-
I saw a bunch of vehicles being pushed out of lots at JF today. Most of them were sports cars or mini vans...not exactly the vehicles of choice for snow.
-
Heaviest snow came in around 1. I usually only stay for 3 hours at the most, but ended up doing 8 to 4 today. It was too hard to give up a good thing.
-
Summed up in one word...WOW. Light steady snow in the morning to moderate snow in the afternoon and no wind = light fluffy powder that rejuvinated the slopes all day.
-
I think tonight was the start of the Z games
-
What time did you go? If you were there a few hours after opening, then that is probably why there was so much ice. Places that get crowded, like CB, don't take long for the snow to be scraped and become icy.

Damn washing machine went out and I was waiting for the repair man, or else I would have went to JF. They need to groom out the bumps on exhibition, though . The left side is the most consistant and the bumps ruin it. The right side of Floyd's is the best place for the bumps.

I'll probably be there, but I work that day so I will probably fly solo, to get in my runs.
