  1. It's definately worth $20 for CB.
  2. JF lost their customers after the bad rain storms and didn't do any promotions (excluding the last week, which was too late). CB also has a lot more snow than what JF has. This time of the year, you have to get their at opening, for really good conditions. I got there at 9 and the snow was already starting to get soft and heavy.
  3. Friday might be a good day, from NOAA for Highmount, NY: Thursday Night: Rain and snow likely, becoming all snow after 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 27. North wind between 3 and 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Friday: Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 33. Northeast wind between 7 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Friday Night: Snow likely, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 16. Chance of precipitation is 70%. I hope to go up on Monday and Tuesday. They are also calling for snow on Monday,

I got there at 9 am today and the snow was really soft on the flats, but the snow was excellent on the steeps, and it was 47 degrees. Nothing looked wet.
  5. I think a lot of them are going to CB, for the free tickets.

I'm looking to get a mid week pass at CB and I kept my regular pass at JF. I've actually been impressed with the amount of snow and the conditions at CB.

You'll pass up free skiing because of the length of the runs? Sad, real sad. If you connect to different trails, you can make the runs as long as anything that Blue has.

    Is it...

    $40 for Elk...free at CB .
  9. Call them and explain it, instead of trying to figure it out on a MB. The pass was vailid for this year, so I would think that you could use it.

I got out a little late today and arrived at CB at 9:15, got my ticket and hit the snow. The grooming was really good. The front four still have some speed bumps on them, but the snow was a firm, sugary snow. I got 20 runs in, in two hours. The snow was also perfect for carving out turns and doing just about anything that you wanted to do. Unless if things improved today, or maybe it was just CB haters, I didn't see anything bad about the mountain today. Just get out early, to avoid the baking of the sun.
  11. Yes, first thing in the morning because I work all this coming week.
  12. They changed their hours again . From the website: March 25 to March 27 - closed
  13. Any chance that a groomer can "accidentally" show up at JF and also have a lift "accidentally" turned on ?
  14. Not much more to really say, other than everything was in pretty good shape.
  15. I skied. I ate lunch. I skied more. They closed .
  16. You're going to miss the egg hunt.
  17. I never took notice, is there an orange fence at the bottom?
  18. East moutain had had the best snow, on the left side of the trails.
  19. I called today and the lady said that they plan on being open until March 30th and would like to be open into April, depending on the weather. That would be nice.
  20. If you bought it Feb. 19th, when they went on sale, you got two seasons for the price of one.
  21. I called Elk today and they still plan on staying open until 3-29, weather permitting .
  22. I'm keeping this short 'cause I'm tired. Still good coverage and I was able to use my good skis...nice top layer of sugary snow. Groomers did a hell of a job, as usual
  23. I'm glad I went early. Only two trails were closed when I was there.
  24. I just checked the web site and Blue is also closing early today.
