I'll be hitting JF, first thing Monday morning, then I might shoot up to Sno for around 12 - 12:30.
-
I noticed that Sno is starting to get a little collection going, on the NF. Must be vistiors from Blue
-
Hmmm. Maybe I'll go Monday, get $10 off for the men's day, then have a half off coupn, if I decide to go again.
-
When can you start to use the coupons?
-
When do the spring fling coupons start?
-
Sno and Blue are blowing more snow and EVEN CB is (at least that's what the web site says). Hint.
-
What time were you there? I was there 3 to 5:30 and remeber going down WL and there was one boarder on it, who ended up standing off to the left of the lift and was talking to the liftie.
-
I didn't even know that I was going to go, until I woke up too late to get any decent time in at JF.
-
I was there this afternoon (Sun 3-9) and the conditions were really good. They blew a decent amount of snow. I took my beater skis again, and wished that I would have taken my good skis.

March 22 is usually when they close. Floyd's was closed?? I thought Floyd's had the best snow, on the east mt., on Saturday. Monday should be a big improvement. The second day after a rain storm is when you will see the most improvement.

I followed two school buses in on Friday morning. I was surprised that they would be coming in at 9 am on a school day.

Roll Call. Sunday 3/9 & maybe Monday morning. Conditions?

They did a good job of grooming on Saturday and the snow was fast, at JF. Today, the snow was best toward the edges. The park has some really good snow. With the rain last night and drizzle today, there were patches of ice and a few thin spots. Once the rain stops and they get to groom it really well, it should be in good shape. Monday should definitely be the best day. I've seen where a trail looks bad and almost like it might be closed, due to it raining, then the next day you couldn't even tell that it rained. The groomers do a hell of a job and know how to resurrect the trails . -
. Should have listened to the first one. And it's job security for patrolers.
-
This stinking rainy spell seems to have hurt all of the ski areas . Ticket sales might be helped, by dropping the prices earlier for March madness. I tried to help out by buying lunch today .
-
I called and they said that they only got 4" inches of snow with freezing rain . I'm not sure if I want to drive 4 hours for that, instead of heading to Mount Snow. Then again, looking at the radar, the farther N.E. you go, the worse it looks. I guess I'll have to wait and see until after the storm is finished.
-
Since nobody seems to know anything about the place, I guess I might have to check it out. They are now calling for 1 to 2 feet of snow . It is slightly N.E. of Erie.
-
I'm hunting for snow and Holiday Valley, in NY, is supposed to get over a foot, Has anybody been there? From looking at the site, it has over 50 trails, is 750 ft vert, and has two HS quads. I was debating about heading there on Monday. I was thinking about going somewhere in VT, but it doesn't look like anybody around there is supposed to get any decent snow.
-
. The one thing that I noticed about Sno is that they have a hard time at the begining of the year, but seem to end strong.
-
I was up this morning. I stayed on the NF. Everything is in good shape. Smoke was closed, though...there are big sheets of plate glass ice, off of the first headwall and right before the second headwall. WL is now groomed. Other than that, it was surprisingly good. I took my beater skis and wish I would have taken my good skis.
-
The people who are now being flooded probably don't.
-
Trust me, I have. Along with all of the other rain storms this season.
-
I honestly don't see how anybody will pull through this with good conditions. Some places will more than likely be closed down. This is just way to much rain and too heavy. I hope I am wrong, though. I am seriously worried about flooding.
-
Check the radar. It's not good
-
That doesn't even work.
