The way it's been raining, they might even be able to open the waterpark

Accuweather is now saying that there could be a major noreaster Friday into Saturday that could dump over a foot of snow. That would help salvage the season. I don't hold much faith in Accuweather, though.

They were a brand name of multi colored shorts that were popular in the late 80's / early 90's

Looking at the forecast and radar, it doesn't look good. The 50+ degree temps today really loosened up the snow base. If we get 3 inches of rain, it's going to be hard to salvage anything. Plus, there is a serious potential for flooding. If there is flooding, people aren't going to go skiing. It's supposed to get cold again, during the nights. If it floods, all of this will freeze and be a big mess for clean up. I hope I'm wrong and just being pessimistic, but it doesn't look good. Plus they are calling for temps in the 50's with rain on the 12th, 13th, 14th.

Had some good size bumps on it. I'm not a big mogul man, so I didn't hit it.

As long as the rain stays away. That's what ended last year .
-
I was expecting the snow to be sticky, but when I got there at 6:30, it was soft and fast. The moisture must have settled out of it by then.

I like the skiercross. I did think that they had a little too much stuff, to close together, though.

I like that little trail. It's different and nice to do short, quick turns on.

Yeah, I went to Sno this evening and stayed on the NF. Snow was nice and fast .

Another damn rain storm that would have been a huge dump. 2 to 3 inches of rain is really going to kill things, this time of year . Of course it is going to get colder after the rain, which means tons of ice.

According to their website. I haven't been there in a while, but the last time I was there it did look a lot less than last year. I was there every weekend last April and I thought the crowds were pretty good, for that time of year and what they were offering. They don't have the snowmobile races, so that means they could keep more open. That also might be why they didn't blow as much. It took a lot of snow to push around, to make the course.

Last year they had over a 100" inch base. This year it's about half of that. At least that's according to the website. It would be nice if they would stay open that late, but interest really drops off.

Woodlands Saturday night $1 drinks 9-11

Anybody going? I might go, first thing in the morning.
-
It's nothing new. This year was just a nice day.

Ummm. Fresh powder on top of groomed.
-
You have an unlimited season pass, for first tracks at 7:30? I didn't bother to go. I was exhausted from skiing four hours of powder at Bell on Thursday. When I woke up, it was also 0 degrees. Four hours of that on Thursday also beat me. I will be there in 7 hours and 45 minutes
-
Yes it does. It was 7 degrees when I pulled in at 8:45 and it warmed up to 13 degrees when I left at 2pm. No breaks either. I was beat when I woke up today and it was 0 degrees, so I went back to bed to save up for Saturday morning.

Anybody going to JF on Saturday? I'm actually thinking about taking my beater skis to mess around off trail. They are calling for up to 7" and it is supposed to be 23 degrees = dry snow . Hopefully the groomers get out after 4pm today.
-
That sucks when places do that. It kills the thrill of powder.
-
I should be at JF....oh sh*t, wrong forum

It was excellent snow. They are calling for up to 5 more inches for Friday evening into Saturday. The snow gods have been blessing Bell this week. I drove by Elk on the way home. That area didn't get quite as much, but it still looked decent. I saw that parts of Wayne county got dumped on, during my travel.
