  1. You know what usually happens on WMMR days
  2. East Mt. is just as good and the trails are longer. Floyd's Folly is just as steep as any of the diamonds at CB. Plus all of the gladed areas.
  3. How about the rest of this season?
  4. I hope they refunded their money. That would be a really poor excuse. It's always worth it toward the passholders. I'm sure there's always other things that employees could do.
  5. My day will almost be over, by 10:30.
  6. JF, it's no longer Mon. Feb 4th
  7. Today they suspended operations.
  8. This weather is getting annoying.
  9. I see today that they suspended their operations until tomorrow.
  10. I've heard it on their radio adds. Call to confirm.
  11. Home of the cookie monsters
  12. I would imagine that speed also plays a role, relating to how fast the groomers go.
  13. I've noticed that also.
  14. If you are impatient like me and go as much as I do, yes. The VIP parking is an excellent idea (HINT).
  15. I skied at BB and left at 6:30. It cleared out early, but never rained. It did get foggy, once it got dark.
  16. That doesn't mean that you get a free pass each day, along with using your season pass. That means that they validate your season pass and give you a lift ticket, that you have to wear. If you get the VIP pass, you don't have to validate your pass for a ticket. It is a great deal, because you can get your money's worth out of your pass this season, then next season is sort of a freebie (almost two seasons for one pass ).
  17. You miss the best part of the day. I am not a morning person. I usually go to bed at 4 or 5 am, in the summer / fall. Once winter hits, that all changes.
  18. There is a 7 to 8 degree difference. I get on the T-Pike at Lake Harmony, to go to Blue. That much of a difference does affect snow quality.
  19. That's why you have to take advantage of both JF and BB. Both are covered in an all day ticket, so why would you skip one?
  20. X 2. I'll lap Mittl-Weg at BB any day over an icy Razors at Blue. I don't think it's poor grooming at Blue, I think the warmer temps have something to do with it. The snow keeps a higher water content and it doesn't groom as well, hence the ruts.
  21. I know that a reason for closing is probably due to losing more money than they take in. To me, if not for any other reasons, a reason to stay open would be for the pass holders. The passholders are the ones who pay the money up front, which helps fund the early season snow making. Without preseason money from passholders, I would think that things could be kind of tight.
  22. I actually got a chuckle out of this. Maybe posting a thread as a sticky might help .
  23. If you look at the radar, it is starting to clear out. Here in central PA, the sun is trying to peak through. The evening shouldn't be that bad.
