  1. I checked the phone message and they are still open...
  2. Sno closed also.
  3. I was planning on heading out to Sno and thought I would check the conditions. The home page says they are closed . I guess its off to BB.
  4. I checked to see if JF or BB are still open, which I should already know better than to think that they aren't, and the conditions haven't been updated since Monday. Anybody go today?
  5. I just checked the web page and to my surprise they closed again today.
  6. On a Monday .
  7. For Lake Harmony, 8 out of the 15 days call for rain and temps in the mid 40's. Just yesterday, a lot of these days had highs listed in the 20's, so anything can change. Hopefully it will change to lower temps and no rain.
  8. Anybody actually thought that they would be open? Bad weather is almost like a black out date, for pass holders
  9. They also added that if you sell your tickets, they can terminate your pass or prosecute you. The four free passes do me no good, since none of my friends ski. Hopefully they will reconsider and add some debit money to the pass. The $50 debit was a great benefit for me. Maybe adjust the number of passes, or eliminate the passes and add debit money instead, so it can be used for passes, food, etc??? It's still the best deal in the area, if you don't already have a pass, since you can use the pass for the remainder of this season and next season. You could get your money's worth, this year alone.
  10. There are paths through there that were labled, not sure if they still are marked. I think they might have been for cross country or to cut across to the houses.

I thought the answer given had something to do with the terrain
  12. I just saw that they finally got a web cam.
  13. Boomer needs to be groomed. It limits terrain by having two bumped trails, in the same area.
  14. You're missing some nice trails, if you avoid the west. Ridge, Easy rider, Janes Lane, and Lehigh are some decent alternative trails and all of them can be accessed from the triple chairs, if you are familiar with the place.

All points agreed. You can counter sue people, and the attorneys who file the frivolous law suits, for filing a law suit that shouldn't be filed. This might be more of a hassle and money, than what its worth. If this would happen more, it would help put an end to people suing for the results of their own actions.
  16. Is that any faster?

That's correct. There might only be one listed on the web page, but the best ones are not listed. There are definately numerous areas to tree ski. Hmmm, strange that those "boring" mountains have been 100% open for a while and have been open the longest . That's also not the most professional response. I agree, but the response could have been worded better and more straight forward, than avoiding the real answer and putting down other areas.
  18. The events page says 2-19 that they go on sale. I'll probably get mine then, or shortly after, and that will probably be my only pass for next season. I learned that it's not really worth getting two passes.
  19. I think last year you could use it for the remainder of last year, even though it was for this year, if you got it early.

Jack Frost is nowhere near being boring, yet they allow you to ski on anything that has snow. They probably have the most skiable acres than any resort in PA, due to their open terrain policy. Almost all of the trees get snow, when they blow snow at JF. "PA does not receive enough natural snow to offer adequate or quality "glade skiing" is a lame excuse. JF offers it, with manmade snow, and it is decent glade skiing, for PA.
  21. I was looking to go midweek. After reading what they are doing, they lost my business.
  22. Yeah, it's open. I lost my teeth on it Tuesday night.
  23. I thought that the bulk of the light seemed to be focused in a small area. Bright white light can also reflect more, which might not be good. I guess it's a matter of preference. I've heard people complain about the lights at BB, but I actually think the lighting is pretty good.
  24. Mapquest directions look the best, IMO, from Bartonsville.
