  1. Bumped up, didn't do it. My knees hate bumps.
  2. The conditions will be really good, especially first thing in the morning. JF holds out really well, during warm spells. Remember last year, they were one of the few places in the state that stayed open, during the warm, rainy spell that we had. Go. Plus there are no crowds, mid-week, so the snow will stay in good shape.
  3. I don't do the parks, so I won't be much good for comparison. I haven't been to BB in a while. I usually go to JF or Sno.
  4. The rain was on the showery side, so the snow shouldn't be affected much at all. From the looks of the radar, it's about over. Don't know about BB, but JF blew a shitload of snow and these showers will do nothing to it. There is also a lot of snow in the glades. It was a really sweet day on Saturday. It is definately worth the trip to JF.
  5. Maybe in the TR?
  6. I never left.
  7. You missed a 5 star morning.
  8. 570-443-8425
  9. I was there until 3:30 and managed to stay out of the office today, so whatever you said must have worked.
  10. Infamous wet packed powder
  11. The jumps looked bigger and the park itself looked better, at JF, than what I saw on Love park, IMO.
  12. Try it, you might like it.
  13. Work is a lot closer and when I'm working, it's not my vehicle.
  14. All that it takes is a little freezing rain to royally mess up the roads. Which means no skiing for me, because I won't drive on a sheet of ice.
  15. That's all that matters.
  16. The upcoming week looks horrible. Rain and freezing rain up until Thursday .
  17. I guess I'll head to JF again on Sunday. It's mid-winter there, with half the mountain open.
  18. The highball is for Dad, I hope Really? What happened that they didn't open with more trails?
  19. Only problem is....Glenn isn't a member of Congress.
  20. I started off the 07-08 season, at JF, with my first run down one park, at 7:59 am. I was pleasantly surprised at the deep, side to side coverage, including a few decent size jumps. I spent the morning laping the entire mountain. This was probably the best opening, for coverage, in my four years of skiing. All of the trails had edge to edge, deep coverage. The grooming was top notch, as always. I rode the lift with somebody who moved into the area and used to go to Whiteface. He seemed to like what he saw and asked if the grooming was always this good. You couldn't even tell that it was the first day, for the trails....there were no ice chunks or cookies. The trails that were closed also had a decent amount of snow blown and there was plenty of snow in the trees, to go off trail. BTW, thunderbolt was in excellent condition for wide carving ...it got my stamp of approval.
  21. I'm surprised that nobody posted this, but I just saw on their main page that BB is open 6pm to midnight, on Christmas . You have to wait for the flash ad to appear, on the top of the page, or check under the hours section. This will help break up the evening boredom.
  22. I didn't plan on going much past 11, but that might change . I'm even tempted to take my new skis.
  23. . Any chance of maybe switching merry widow back to an open trail ? I guess I rank up there with Papasteeze's ski clinic .
