I was there Friday and the coverage was still pretty deep and a lot of natural snow. How is it now? I won't get to JF till Tuesday, but plan on BB on Monday and was debating which skis to take (I'll probably end up taking my good skis and old skis).

To answer the topic header, yes it is the beginning of the end. The weather has nothing to do with it. March is always the beginning of the end .

Definately a lot of natural snow left, especially for how warm it has been.

Go up early. It's colder there and they have plenty of natural snow. I was there March 2nd and it was sunny and warm. The snow was frozen cord in the morning and softened up toward noon.

NOAA is now saying 1-2 inches. That's better than 8, but still too much.

This changes constantly, so hopefully it is blown way out of proportion. I would think that if they would be seeing this, something would have been said already.

Latest GFS model is showing 7-8 inches of rain

The latest GFS forecast model is call for 7-8 inches of rain in the poconos. This could hurt.

I was told today that they are having the party. I was told that a notice will be sent out. I was also told it's not known when they are closing. It's usually around the 3rd week in March, though.

An east mt. hsq would service half the mountain.

One thing that I've noticed is the amount of stones in the snow, coming off of the north face lift, and going down toward the connecting area toward cannonball. I'm assuming a lot of this is from machinery being drivin onto the lots and bare areas. It would be nice to eliminate that.

Just checked the cam and it looks like they pushed the snow to cover the center part, but it looks like a decent depth. Still a lot of snow.

They've always had the glades. Now they will be cleaner . Nice.

How long did it take to go down? 1:45 seems like a lot to hike, for only 1 run.

Did you make it out? It was really nice, first thing. Anybody who didn't get out today missed a beautiful day and nice conditions.
