Anybody drive to Killington, ski, then come back in the same day? I figured that it would be a 16 to 18 hour day for me. My work schedule won't allow a two day trip for me and I used all the time that I'm willing to use, for this ski season. I was just wondering how it would be. Unless if I do this, my season is done .

Well, I finished another 5 hour session and left at 2pm. The snow on the west side of the mt. was in the best condition. The announcer made an announcement that they were staying open an extra hour and everybody cheered....I took off because my legs were already shot from the snow. They could stay open until next weekend, with the amount of snow they have. The plus side to Sunday was a lot more women in tank tops , than on Saturday.

I'm sure nobody here would like people trespassing and doing things on their property.

I took a couple pics of the lot by the Tomahawk lift, on Sat 21st, so you could get an idea of how much snow Bell received. Of course this if from being plowed. All the trails are in excellent condition . I'm keeping this short...off to bed for a few hours sleep, to work 10 - 3 am, then a nap, then off to Belleayre again on Sunday

So just because one of your kids dosen't want to go, you won't go

Out the door and greased with sunblock

How was Bell?

If they tell you to leave and you don't, it's a 3rd degree misdemeanor, otherwise it's a summary offense. You can still get up to 90 days in jail for a summary. The section is 3503 of the PACC for Criminal Trespass

When I called on Monday, they said day by day.

Tell them to hold off on the detailing, until it gets nicer out

I have a dumb feeling fluffy's right....considering Hunter closed on Saturday and had no intention of opening back up. Then again, GP was closed for a few weeks, then opened back up for this storm.
-
Unless BB opens up again (which I'm not holding my breath for), I might be there both Saturday and Sunday....should be there for at least Sunday. Should be some actual spring skiing this weekend.
-
Please open....the sooner the better
-
I got to thinking (bad thing), but I wonder if the snow will actually be better this weekend, since the moisture will have a chance to work it's way out, with cool nights etc.
-
Wet powder at GP, according to their conditions page
-
Is the plaza the only thing that is going to be open for the rail jam? The way it looks now, they could have an entire trail open, with lift service.
-
I thought the same thing. I didn't hear one radio add. Too bad they didn't open on Monday.
-
If the temps stay cool. Problem is the sun angle this time of the year eats up snow.

It would be nice. It's snowing there now. I just checked the cams and both JF and BB look like mid winter. They updated their website to say that they are closed for the winter. Even the online petition that I started had no responses. If people were interested about going , then people should have expressed interest by saying they'd be there.

I just called and they said that they are open on Tuesday, w/ $25 lift tickets. There conditions page has 14 trails open.
-
I just checked their website and webcam and GP is opened . Shit, I could have made it there
-
It was snowing pretty good at BB, earlier. Why couldn't it have been that way Sunday .
-
I'll get my 75th day this weekend....maybe 76.
-
When I called, they said that it opened a little after the mountain opened...so it was only delayed, due to the ice.

Yeah, since BB was good on Sat., it should be good at Bell. I'm still bummed that the rain had to close BB a day early . I ran my last run down, on Sat., like it was the last of the season, because I had a bad feeling that Sunday would be a wash out. I have a dentist appointment on Tuesday, to get a hole in my wisdom tooth checked. I'm half tempted to cancel it on and go on Tuesday, but I've put it off for the last month for skiing. I'll probably end up having it yanked out, anyway. Edit: I guess Tuesday is out of the question, since part of the road where I have to go might be flooding yet
