I guess I'm glad I decided not to go Monday. I did some research on the flood warnings and found that the east brach of the Deleware is supposed to cause moderate flooding near Downsville around the rt 17 / 30 area. I would have kicked myself in the ass to find that section closed and have to detour, since I have to go through that area . I feel a little better, now.
It's the last close thing. You'd pay just as much in gas, to drive farther north . Plus it gets you another free ticket for next season.
I was going to go Monday, but a three hour drive and not know where the flooding is happening, I've decided not to risk it. I don't know if I'd enjoy 45 mph winds, anyway. Looks like either Sat. 21 or Sun. 22nd. This sucks, because the novelty of the storm will be over
From the website:
ONE MORE WEEK!!!
Belleayre is expected to receive 30" or more of snow in the next 24 hours. We will remain open through Sunday, April 22! Only the upper mountain will be open (the Super Chief and the Tomahawk Lifts).
Monday morning trip
I was there from 8-11:30. Conditions were perfect, first thing. Snow started softening up around 9:30 - 10:00. Those guys who went to Belleayre don't know what they are missing
From their site:
"ONE MORE DAY???
If Belleayre receives significant snowfall from the Nor'easter headed our way, we may remain open on Monday, April 16 for a powder day! Check back Sunday for the decision..."
I'm bored, so I thought I would start an online petition. This is a petition to try to get BB to open on Monday, if they get a lot of snow Sunday / Monday. Who would go? I would.

I just checked out Mt. Snow's passes and their passes have blackout dates on holidays, except for the Noreaster pass, which is $350 more than the next lower pass .
I just read in the press releases that Sunday, April 15th is the last day. It's dated April 6th, which is when I was told that they would like to be open until the 21st. That employee must have been a week ahead of themself http://www.belleayre.com/company/press.htm
