I just saw this under BB's conditions page: " Weekend Outlook 15 dollar no hola snow loves you long time." " MITTL-WEG MIDWAY /MIDWAY come rip it up. " Been there, done that, and left it torn to shreds

Returning to BB from anywhere can be tough

Even the trails with park stuff on aren't that bad. Big Boulder trail has a few jumps and a rail at the bottom, but other than that, that trail isn't even too bad.

I pulled into the lot at about 1 pm and was running a few minutes behind. I clicked in just as Ski was coming out from the business office. Like he said, we spent the first part of the afternoon lapping Mittl-weg and Draufganger. Both were in excellent condition. It was 29 degrees and snowing lightly...definately no spring conditions today. Mittl-weg was untouched when we got there and was groomed to perfection, with an inch or so of fresh snow, and with an inch or two soft layer underneath the fresh snow . There were only a hand full of jib honks in the house, definately fewer than Saturday. We saw one skier wipe out pretty hard coming off of a jump and go face first into the landing....I have no idea how he got back up, but he kept going the rest of the day. A really quick burst of sun softened things up, but everything quickly went back to being firm, for the rest of the day, with continued light snow/ snow showers. It was nice sking with you the last two days, Ski. Also, thanks for a few of the pointers that will help me kick AJeff's ass next year .

Remember, 1pm is when they open, on Easter.

2 trails ( mittl-weg & draufganger )

Who's going to BB, on Easter? No excuses...since you can sleep in because they don't open until 1pm. It's actually a good reason to get away from family. Condition should be great... like skiing in Vermont, without the vert .

They did a really good job grooming. I was afraid that there would be a lot of ice, but there was hardly any. Kind of a strange day...sun, then clouds, then snow, then sun, etc, etc. Sunday should also be a great day...but as long as there is snow under my feet, every day is a great day .

I wonder if anybody got the pic of your 360??..............oink Doug's buddy

I just noticed this on Bell's page, I hope this is old info because I was hoping to get up there again, the week of the 21st. "SPECIAL EVENTS & PROMOTIONS Purchase a full price lift ticket on our final weekend April 14th and 15th and recieve a Buy One Get One for an early season ticket for the 2007-2008 season."
-
The food goes to a good cause, and the skiing is free....so I guess you can't really complain too much. Although, I would have been bummed a little.
-
They don't open till 1pm this Sunday, due to Easter.
-
It's $15 on Fridays, now. Easter Sunday, they have a special for $25.

I had a bad feeling, when they told me they were "pushing snow around." I knew that Bell blew snow and had 30 + trails open. I didn't think it would be really good at GP, since they closed mid week. It was a last minute decision, after I woke up.

After regretting skipping Tuesday, I decided to head to Belleayre today, instead of Greek Peak. I pulled into the lot at 9:00 am and it was snowing lightly...the temp was 20 degrees...another facemask day. The snow guns were also blasting. Since this was my first trip to Bell, I wandered around a little bit, to familiarize myself with the place. I moved my car to the upper lot, only to have some young boy open his dad's car door into the side of mine. I was initially pissed, but let it go, after seeing the look on his face and knowing that he was excited to get on the slopes...it only put a small paint transfer on my door, that will buff out. I got my ticket, booted up, and was on the slopes by 10:00am. There was about two inches of fresh powder, on top of man made snow. Good thing for this, because everything underneath was crusty ice. I talked to a local and they said it was horrible on Thursday...all chunky ice in the morning. Today was really nice. I managed to get in 31 runs, in a little over a five hour time period. There was a good number of people out...no lines, but a constant turnover of chairs. I asked a worker when their last day is, and they said they just found out today that they are looking at April 21st, due to the cold and they plan to continue blowing snow .

I took off work and will be there Friday .
-
I called about this and pointed out the pass holder thing, and I was told specifically that it can be anybody and that a passholder doesn't have to be with you.
-
I never thought of it that way. They lowered the ticket price, so it wouldn't be combining it with a different offer. Now if they offered another discount, that would be different.

I just saw this on GP's conditions page: "REOPENING FRIDAY 4/6/07 - 9:30 TO 5 SATURDAY 4/7/07 - 8:30 TO 5 BRING A NON-PERISHABLE ITEM ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AND SKI OR RIDE FOR FREE! WE STILL HAVE GREAT SNOW LEFT ON THE TRAILS!!!!" I think I'm there at least on Sat.
-
I guess we can stick a fork in this rumor....I called the office and they said that they are not re-opening . Off to BB or Bel for the weekend.
-
Doug would have to hurry back, or his streak would be in jeopardy
-
Man would this be great....turn the lifts on and let them be self service. I wouldn't see the reason to be grooming unless.................... Edit: I just checked the webcam and it doesn't look like anything is groomed.

Is this something heard from a legitimate source, or was it just started from this board?
