  1. I'll be there first thing Sat. and probably Sunday ...I was told that the $10 tickets are also going to be Sunday. If that is the case, I'll be there Sunday.
  2. Thanks, but I already knew that.
  3. Give us a report on the conditions. I'm seriously thinking about Sno Sat. morning. It's either that or Blue, but I don't want to get up at 5:30 to make it to Blue for opening.
  4. Did they groom it out, or let it piled up?
  5. If they put rails and boxes on everything, they will hurt their business more than help it.
  6. I was at Blue today (Friday) and I thought conditions were excellent...no rocks or mud while I was there.
  7. No.
  8. I see on their website that they threw in the towel and closed for the season.
  9. I pulled into the lower lot at 8:15, booted up and grabbed my 1/2 off ticket. It was 37 degrees. The snow was firm, frozen cord. Razors had more ruts in it than Challenge and both had the infamous cookie balls rolling around on them. Paradise was a little softer, but Main St. had the best, consistant, carvable snow out of all of the trails. All of the snow was white and the brown stuff was gone. Sidewinder has taken the biggest beating, out of all of the trails. Overall, it was a good 18 run morning .
  10. I didn't think so...I thought I heard somebody call her Barb.
  11. Their answering machine for BB conditions says closed Monday thru Friday....opening up for Sat. and Sun.
  12. From what I understand, just Saturdays and Sundays.
  13. You weren't at JF this Sunday, wearing a black jacket with what appeared to be blue skulls on it???
  14. Mittl-weg is supposed to be free. Stay away from the rails and you should be fine.
  15. With an exception for those who already bought next season's pass. I wouldn't be too happy if I had to by an "off season" pass, since I already purchased next season's.
  16. Last days always do. I was thinking that last night, now all of a sudden...bam!
  17. I hope they grill some rib sandwiches...I love them. They were the best from Jack's pit @ JF .
  18. I don't think you have to worry about that.
  19. I pulled into the lot at my usual 7:45am. It was 35 degrees and cloudy. I booted up and hit first tracks down exhibition. The snow was firm and somewhat frozen, but fast. I bounced around the mountain and did a lot of laps on t-bolt, challenge, demattes, and exhibition. I made it a point to hit every trail, since it was last day. Edge to edge coverage, still snow in the woods, and only one bad spot on river shot. It stayed cloudy and chilly until 12:30. I went in for lunch at 11:30 and dined on chicken fingers and French fries. There's something about their fries that I love. I came out at 12:30 and it was sunny and warm. The snow softened up and was really nice to carve through. I had snow flying up at me and anybody who happened to tail gate too close ...awesome feeling. The snow tubing area even became another trail, since it was closed and a few people took a run down exhibition with their pants pulled down (maybe the trail name was an influence)....they had shorts on under their pants. I guess all good things must come to an end . This is the first "open to close" day, for me this year and it flew by. I ended my JF season with a nice slow, side to side run down exhibition. The numb feeling started to kick in as I got off my last ride up and saw them close off the trails. One thing about this year that really stands out to me is the kindness of the employees. I can't recall having any problems with anybody. Everybody was really nice and greeted and talked to you as you were getting on the lifts. As usual, the grooming was top notch, especially in the shitty month of December...which allowed them to open when they probably shouldn't have. I guess I'll try to stop wallowing in my sorrow, since there are still other days to be skied this season .
  20. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to set much up, if it stays warm...might have to wait for it to cool down. If they are the only place open, it would definately be worth it...unless if you want to drive to NY.
  21. Edge to edge coverage, snow in the woods, only one bad spot on river shot. There's no bears there, so I guess the only thing to blame is the drop off in ticket sales. Today was a really good day. The snow started off firm and it stayed cloudy until 12:30. I went in for lunch at 11:30 and it was cloudy and chilly out. I came out at 12:30 and it was sunny and warm. The snow softened up and was really nice to carve through. I had snow flying up at me and anybody who happened to tail gate to close...awesome feeling. The snow tubing area even became another trail, since it was closed. I guess all good things must come to an end. This is the first open to close day, for me this year and it flew by. The numb feeling is slowly starting to set in. At least I have BB to look forward to next weekend, along with some mid-week trips to Sno, Blue, or Elk.
  22. It's not the snow, it's the income. JF has edge to edge coverage and they are closing.
  23. Blue balls??
  24. I'll be there mid-week starting on Monday and BB on weekends.
