  1. I noticed that also and took a pic of it, while driving...I guess that's not practicing smart-style .
  2. Yeah, I couldn't believe it. The snow should have been fairly dry, since it was so cold when they blew it.
  3. I talked to a JFBB employee today and they said they are probably done making snow . I saw all of the portable fans are line up at the base of BB. BB will probably be OK, but I thought that JF should blow a little more.
  4. I couldn't resist it, since I practically have to drive by BB on the way home from Blue. It would have been a crime if I didn't stop .
  5. I don't do any of the features in the parks, but skied down Boulder and widow and the snow seemed pretty soft around the landings...everything was groomed over on those two.
  6. Just got back a little while ago from a sweet session at Blue and BB....sorry Steeze I had to start it that way. I arrived at 8:20 and booted up and grabbed my ticket and hit the six pack just after 8:30. It was 12 degrees, although it really didn't feel that cold and it was snowing lightly. I did a few runs down Razors and Challenge, which were , especially compared to Tuesday...fresh natural and man made snow. I then hit lazy mile and ran into Atomic Jeff at the six pack and spent nearly the rest of the morning doing laps with him...it was nice to put another PASR name to a face (even though like he said it was covered up because of the cold ). Paradise open a little before noon, since they had to groom it and it wasn't too bad. Switchback finally opened a little after noon, but was hard and all cookies...kind of disappointing. Sidewinder still wasn't groomed or opened, when I left at 12:30. I was driving home and got the idea to stop off for first tracks at BB...man am I glad I did. It's not too often you get to hit fresh poe twice, in one day. BB report
  7. I was driving back from a day at Blue at it dawned on me that I could hit fresh powder again... twice in one day. I stopped off and got something to eat, then pulled into BB at 2:45 pm and booted up. I hit first lift up and the place was deserted. I hit Mittl-Weg (my favorite BB trail because you can get some speed and make arching turns). There was about 2 inches of untouched, ungroomed snow on it, the snow underneath was already groomed. I got three runs in on that trail before anybody else touched it . A few people started to show up, but nowhere near what you would think for a powder day. I got 16 quick runs in, in two hours and revived my fix for the day. Overall, an excellent day .
  8. Did they go back to regular tickets??? I thought the wrist bands would be more time consuming to check...not to mention cost more for them.
  9. I'll be there first thing
  10. I never bash anybody
  11. I haven't been to JFBB in a few days, but I talked to an employee who said that they probably aren't going to blow anymore...I hope that's wrong. With the full ticket price. I've wanted to go, but refuse to because they are always closing stuff down for dumb reasons, like it's too cold for the kids .
  12. That was posted sarcastically, right??
  13. There should be new snow on top of it.
  14. They had about four inches of fresh snow, when I left at 1230 and it was still dumping. They still had a decent amount of natural snow from the last storm, but it was iced over.
  15. Even if we don't get the much anticipated mid March snowstorm???
  16. Penn Dot was putting salt brine on 80, when I was coming home from Elk today.
  17. I made a quick change in plans and headed to Elk today, instead of Blue. I made the right choice. I got out a little late and pulled in at 8:45 and it was snowing moderately and 22 degrees. Around 11 am, a really heavy squall hit and it was white out conditions. It snowed off and on, more on than off, throughout the morning. The snow wasn't champegne powder, but it wasn't heavy either...it was actually really nice. I left at 12:30 and it was still snowing. My last run down lenape, I actually stopped and went off to the side, because it was a white out and really hard to see. Excellent morning .
  18. Now that's a hell of a deal. Three week days and a weekend day and it's covered. I do believe I am going to get one .
  19. One of the things I like about JFBB. They are on the edge of the lake effect and squalls.
  20. I spoke to an employee today and they said that they doubt that they will blow any more this year, since they already have a decent amount
  21. Sorry, I ran out....just have crack.
  22. JFBB has started their March madness, this Monday....$25 tickets according to their website.
