If there was some type of discount, like they had at JFBB, I'd go, but I don't want to pay a lot for a ticket and be swamped by people .
-
I just saw that the hours are extended this week. Both JF & BB open at 8 am. I was wondering why there were already numerous people skiing at JF, Wednesday when I got there at 8:45 am. Their web page has this week listed as-- Presidents' Week (Energy Conservation) JF >> Feb. 19 - Feb, 23 - 8am - 4pm and BB 8am to 9 pm. Anybody have any clue why President's Week is listed as Energy Conservation...I wonder if there is a rebate for places like ski resorts?

I think I'm going to hit Sno up this morning (Wed 2-21) before work. Hopefully conditions will be really good.
-
I took Friday off of work and plan on hitting Elk for first tracks . There's nothing like it....around here anyway .

When you sit back and look at it, Peak is trying to make it look like a good deal, for current passholders, by trying to make it look like you are saving money by getting the pass early. Offering it for the same price as this year, then jacking it up $50 if you don't get it early is not a good deal. If they would take $20 off this season's price, for early purchases, or allow current passholder to pay this year's price up through December, then that would be considered a deal for current passholder's. It's poor marketing or an attempt to make people think they are getting a good deal .

That could possibly be called the ball breaker rail
-
I've been there numerous times and was thinking about going Moday (Pres. Day), but don't know if I want to face the lift lines. It's really awesome on a weekday .
-
I bet the interstates being open today had a lot to do with it being busier. I head Eagle Rock was even swamped today
-
Give the tickets out??? Anyway, I was just surprised that the amount is going up another $50, and I guess the $50 debit is more than the $20 that was given last year.
-
Kind of ironic, huh . They like to complain, but about people who complain about how they feel about things . Now quit complaining, about people who complain about people complaining .
-
Then don't post. Yes. Well, when they keep doing stupid stuff, I feel I'm entitled to it. And by the way, I've talked to numerous employees that feel the same way about some of the changes that Peak Resorts have made. It's not JFBB, it's Peak. I don't see your home mountain listed as JFBB. Won't happen.

I see they have the 07 / 08 passes going on sale starting Feb 26 to April 30th. Looks like a good deal, if you don't already have a season pass. You get to ski the rest of this season for free. If you already have a season pass, you get to pay the same amount as this year. After April 30th, they jack up the price by $50. That's not much of a deal for current pass-holders. Doesn't anybody at Peak realize how dumb some of the stuff is that they have been doing?

Lift line is what I'm concerned about. The lift ride is long enough, without having to wait in line....it takes away from time on the mountain and that adds up for a four hour ticket.
-
Nice report. I've been there numerous times, I just haven't been there on a holiday and was curious how there holiday crowds were.
-
How do you think Monday will be?
-
I don't know the exact dimensions, but it's a decent size. I haven't tried it.
-
I'll give it a couple days. From what I've heard, its like a really bad washboard. I haven't been to Eagle Rock and wanted to try it out this year, anyway. I heard it's a nice place, for it's size.
-
I have a direct back route to Eagle Rock. To get to JF by back roads would probably take me way too long, and I also have to work in the afternoon. I spoke to a person who drove from Bloomsburg to Tannersville, and because they had to go alternative routes, it took them five hours
-
Yeah. it's been cut for a few weeks.
-
I'm going to try to get to Eagle Rock. That's the only place I could probably get to, since 80 is closed .
-
Elk is now 100% open and got 20 inches of snow from the storm .
-
Might be a dumb question, but will Monday be really crowded at Blue? I know Sunday will be a zoo
-
Since this storm, I haven't had a chance to get anywhere. I-80 has been a mess and closed frequently, so I haven't chanced it. This is going to be my longest stretch without skiing this season . Eagle Rock is doable, without having to travel I-80, so I might hit that up.

They don't blow directly onto them, some of the glades get plenty of blow over snow, to cover them.
-
They are still there at the mountain, just not on the map.
