I thought the same. If they don't plan on re-opening, they should use that money for blowing snow at JF.

I remember before the season started, sombody (Iforget who) posted a picture of women's underwear that they were going to offer up....I hope they aren't doing that, because maybe that is what's jinxing us .

I saw the snow depth for BB listed as 110 inches, but didn't give much thought to it, until I arrived Thursday night (Feb 8th). This was my first time at BB in about three weeks. This pic was taken from the base, near the Merry Widow lift. It's not the best, but my fingers were too frozen to re-take it. The depth is actually deeper on other parts of the mountain. The really blew the shit out of the place, the last three weeks .

But it is starting to pop up in some of the gated communities

JF has a really good bump run on thunderbolt.

Blue's a little too far for a season pass. I can make it to Sno and JFBB in about the same time (50 mins). Blue takes about 80 mins.

Word is that gangs have been lurking in gated communities in the Poconos, due to less police coverage, since a lot of these places rely on private security.

I think I might hit Sno for a late night session on Thursday. I have to get the dog trimmed and the car serviced, so I might not get out until around 7pm. I want to see how good/ bad the lighting is, in my quest to determine if I switch next season.

What I meant was, I thought that with all of the cold weather lately, that they would have already been open.

What took them so long to open?

Maybe they'll start to close that water park for fear that little kids might start to boil .

The wind is really getting to be a pain. I hoped to make an even balance between the NF and blue trails today, but ended up staying mostly in the NF, because of the wind.

I actually started to figure out if it would be worth getting a pass for this year, but I might be better to just by tickets for the rest of the year. Even if I dump $500 into tickets, it would be cheaper than a pass. It might be too risky, weather wise, to get a pass at this point. I already more than doubled my JFBB pass.

Yeah, tall is a better way of putting it.

I don't think they have to stop. I think they choose to because of costs.

I made it to Sno in about 50 mins. JF takes about 45 mins. Elk and Blue about 80 mins. CB about 65 mins.

I'm hitting Sno again on Wednesday Feb. 7th. I want another look at my possible new home .
