  1. '96 I remember it was -22 for a high temp in Bloom. I had to go to college that day, after the blizzard, and they didn't have any lots plowed
  2. woo who.
  3. Today was a great morning. There was a few inches of natural dry snow all over. The entire East Mt. was left ungroomed. This would have been really great, but they blow a lot of snow, which made the piles deep and heavy. I had a few yard sales myself and gave up, because my skis weren't wide enough and I kept catching the edges in the man made piles, when trying to turn. Hopefully this Friday will be just as good with new snow.
  4. I see that they have a pass holder party listed for at BB on 3-11-07 .
  5. I thought that Peak was leasing from Blue Ridge Corp., so technically Peak doesn't own them? If that is the case
  6. From NOAA for Lake Harmony. If this holds up, wow . Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 7. Sunday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 18. Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 3. Monday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 16. Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around -1. Tuesday: Partly cloudy and cold, with a high near 9.
  7. I don't think they have much choice, or they will loose business.
  8. Thunderbolt and Floyd have moguls on them. Two trails is enough...unless if they make JF a mogul mountain, since they plan on making BB a park. By the way, I talked to a few employees today who thought that making BB a park is a really bad idea because they thought it would hurt pass holder sales, since a lot of older people account for passes. They also said that there have already been complaints about the changes at BB. Hopefully they start listening to the complaints about this and the other changes with the passes, discounts, etc. Now that Sno Mt. took over Montage and is proving themselves, JFBB could start to loose customers, if they don't start listening. Like I've said before, I love JFBB and would love to stick with them, but I've felt like Peak isn't listening to what the customers have to say. Heck, as of now, there isn't even a pass holder party listed for this year.
  9. Somewhat of a good analogy....I see it going wrong really fast
  10. That could be part of the registration process for this site...a sort of quiz
  11. It won't happen to me....my stuff will only be there a minute...I can see my stuff and get to it before anybody takes it..
  12. I don't do parks, but the only thing special I noticed is the shit load of snow they have on them.
  13. That's why I avoid CB. It looks like the mt. is empty and everybody is at the lift.
  14. That's a reason why I love Elk. It's a hidden treasure.
  15. I never really considered cliff huck a trail, but it was nice to see if they had it opened. I hope they blow snow on that rock pile this year.
  16. The turns on Janes Lane (easystyle park at JF ) are banked. I love them
  17. Sorry, I wasn't thinking and through the A in for "and".
  18. PASAR day at JFBB.
  19. Floyd is def. a better trail for bumps. They have Thunderbolt bumped up, but I think that is a better trail for free skiing / riding. Floyd is better, because of the steep drop off and it is only that one head wall.
  20. I see JF finally got a bra and panty tree off of the quad .
  21. I hope they don't eliminate cliff huck. Sure, it's just a rock out-crop with a lump of snow blown on it, but it was always fun to shoot up onto it, after coming off east mt.
  22. I also noticed this earlier. They also removed little cliff huck, from JF. The home page now says JFBB is 100% open, when JF still isn't.
  23. I wonder why they have been using the black forest lift as the last resort this year. If I remember correctly from last year, black forest runs faster than the merry widow lift.
  24. I don't mind having the bars down. It gives you something to rest your arms on. I ski and find most foot rests uncomfortable because they are up too high and they wrench your knees and legs trying to get your feet on them. The only one out of JFBB that I think is at the correct height is the triple lift at BB that services boulder trail and Bunnys.
