  1. During in normal winter it is about 5 degrees colder...this has been anything but normal.
  2. JFBB runs about 5 degrees colder than CB. BTW...this is my 1000 post
  3. JF isn't as small as most people think. It actually is spread out more than the other mts.
  4. Even if you have to pay, its worth it. The conditions today were outstanding and everthing is supposed to be open by Sat. There are only 3 trails on East. Mt. that need to be opened, for it to be 100 %
  5. Today was probably the best day yet at JF. The few inches of natural snow on top of the man made snow was really what was needed . All of the trails, except for a few on East Mt., were open. Again, I loved the banked turns on Janes lane . Other than getting my car stuck first thing in the morning, the day seemed flawless.
  6. They aren't actually blowing in the glades, but snow is blowing over into them, when they blow on the regular trails. There is a decent amount of snow on T-bolt glade, what used to be Jane's glade, and a bunch of the other tree areas in between the trails.
  7. I'll probably hold off for another week and go to JF Tues. I like to enjoy myself when going to different mts. Besides, by next week, there should be more for my money.
  8. Are they blowing snow on open trails, while you ski? I was thinking about going on Tuesday, but I'm not a big fan of having my goggles frozen over, while skiing .
  9. Unless if they change it from last year, it just another trail (snow drift). It was actually kind of fun today. Somewhat ungroomed. I like that they have to openings onto it this year. Coming in from draufganger is better, because you can go between more of the pine trees.
  10. I was at BB today (Mon. 22). The pipe isn't open, but has a lot of snow blown in it. The whole mt. is in good shape. The only trail that isn't side to side is tannenbaum, but they have the guns positioned off to the far side, so I would imagine that widening it is the next step. In a way, I'm actually glad that they haven't been blowing while open, it makes it easier to see. I've just been antsy the way this winter has been going. Hopefully their philosophy is to save money, so they can blow up to the end of the season.
  11. I think with the snowmaking they have now, the "blow over" from the trails that they are blowing on is putting down enough snow off trail. That's probably why they have them listed as having snow made on them.
  12. As soon as they get razors and challenge open, I plan on hitting up blue. Keep us updated.
  13. I called Sunday night and they said they weren't sure if they would have any more trails open on Monday or Tuesday .
  14. JFBB's web page has BB listed as being the first in the state to be 100% open. Top of page and announcements.
  15. I should be there.
  16. I don't know if this counts because of their size, but BB is listed as being 100% open on Monday.
  17. My thoughts exactly. I hope they at least refunded their tickets.
  18. I'd be willing to be it wasn't a holiday .
  19. "Some" speed...not a whole lot. Just enough to get into the banked turns. You do have to watch for people. I had somebody cut me off when I was going from one bank to the other.
  20. Don't get me wrong. I actually love the banked turns on Janes Lane. I often thought that would be fun. It's fun to get some speed and bank the turns, for something different .
  21. This must be what they did on Jane's Lane at JF. The turns on the lower half now have banks to them, like race tracks are banked. If they plan on making BB a park mt only, then they should get rid of all the parks at JF and make all of the trails free skiing/ riding. It's a fair trade off for people who don't do parks.
  22. BB has listed as contour grooming soon for Bunny's Schuss. What is this?
  23. If they get everything open withing the next two weeks, then blow snow up till the end of the year, it won't be that bad. If something happens and they don't get everything open, then I would have to blame the wasted time. I think it's a little unfair to punish one resort, if the others are struggling to open, if that has anything to do with it. BTW, did Eagle Rock open yet? Their web page doesn't give much info.
  24. I'm eager to hit their NF. I've never been on it. I definately plan on getting there a few times this year, I might consider it for my pass next year. I have nothing against the people at JFBB, but Peak is doing some goofy things and some of the changes still irk me.
  25. Ski- I plan on hitting Sno either Mon., or Tues. I'm thinking Tuesday might be better since they might have a couple more trails open over that one day. Do you think Tues. might be a better choice? I plan on going to Blue on one of those days also. I need to branch out...I'm getting tired of the same scenery and looking at snow guns that are turned off when it is 11 degress .
