Morning stroll through campus.

Well thank you sir. Free day today since we got everything we needed to get done yesterday. Debating on Grand Canyon, Sedona, Lost Dutchman (superstition mountains) or maybe going to Jerome. I'm leaning towards Sedona or GC but we'll see.

Saw so many ASU kids going to parties last night. And saw a few ongoing in the apartment complex near my hotel. There's a CVS just off campus that was filled with kids, all dressed up in their finest party attire stocking up on provisions. Overheard a few on campus too talking about where they were going. It's a problem here and these fools just don't give a shit and they're ruining it for kids who want to do that right thing. Only a matter of time before the school officially shuts down in person. This zip code (where ASU is located) has the highest numbers in Arizona. On the other hand, as we were officially checking my daughter out of her room, there was a another kid right behind us doing the exact same thing. People are leaving daily and the school is losing a shit ton of money. Shame.

I have this Phoenix Coyotes hat sitting in my closet that I wore when my oldest daughter was born. It's easily a few decades old. It's been collecting dust but I'll never get rid of it.

We lost my dad's uncle. Was older but healthy for the most part. I think it goes without saying at this point but this thing in no joke. Stay safe. Keep your guard up still.

Good analogy. That's how it is unfortunately. I'm taking her to the grand canyon and on a hike or two before we fly home. She needs to get the hell out of her room.

Shitty senior year and now a crap college experience. It sucks.

Has been there almost a month. Technically they aren't closed but nothing is open on campus. No clubs (she wanted to join a few). Virtully no in person classes. No sports. No Rec center, gym or pool. A lot of food places are closed. Dining hall is open but they can't eat there... need to get food and bring it back to her dorm. She's now down to one in person class that is in the same building as her dorm. They're starting to gate things up as the COVID numbers on campus are surging. They're doing random covid tests and told them that they should prepare to stock up and hunker down for 14 days. She tells me kids are leaving every day. The on campus student population is about 15% to 20% of what it normally is so it's a ghost town. Meanwhile we're paying full price for this. Spring semester at this point looks to be the same. They'll give a her a prorated refund on housing so the sooner I get her back the better at this point.

Unfortunately I won't be skiing it this winter as I anticipated. Headed out there probably at the end of this month, early next to pick her up.

This reservation shit is way too confusing. All I need to know is can I ski a sweet night sesh after work if the mood strikes me or no?

JFBB is requiring reservations for passholders and guests. Plus in the email they included an ever elusive aerial shot of Jackson Frost.

She doesn't want to go back if it's the same in spring. She'd rather do virtual from home. Problem is the school doesn't appear to be 100% transparent with some of these things. No way to know the rec center is closed until you go to the rec center and see it's locked type of thing. Just spoke with them and there is a rebate.
