I'm bored and was thinking about this. Plus fuck Covid 19 so here goes...Where has everyone skied and what areas are on your bucket list? PASRs are a well traveled bunch so I know you all have quite the list / experiences to share. For me... Pennsylvania ‐ Blue Mountain ‐ Jackson Frost - Big Boulder ‐ Elk Mountain - Montage - Shawnee - Camelback - Bear Creek - Spring Mountain - Split Rock New York - Gore - Whiteface - Belleayre Vermont - Killlington - Stratton Colorado - Winter Park - Steamboat - Crested Butte Utah - Powder Mountain - Snowbasin - Alta - Snowbird - Solitude - Brighton California - Squaw Valley Wyoming - Jackson Hole New areas In my near future... - Arizona Snowbowl, Sunrise Park AZ Need to get to soon / sad that I haven't been...Sugarbush, Stowe, Hunter, Taos, Blue Knob, Smuggs, Telluride Bucket List...Switzerland, Cortina - Italy Favorites....Snowbird, Whiteface, Jackson, Crested Butte

You beat me to it. Snow falling here too.

Oh don't get me wrong I agree with that completely. Would be nice to know how many tests were performed to get to that 1300 and whatever positives. Seeing a percentage of positives as opposed to a straight number each day would tell more of the story. Unfortunately they're not telling us that... unless I'm missing it completely.
-
Edit...forget it
-
Of course the numbers will never capture everyone with COVID 19 (specifically asymptomatic people) however it's still disheartening to see a rise in the numbers for a few reasons. First off...even if the numbers represent a subset of people who have it, seeing a decrease within that subset of people is still a positive trend and usually and indicator that things are getting better overall. The other reason is because the powers that be look at these numbers to make determinations about where and when you and I can go when we leave the house. In other words we're locked down until June because of these numbers. So yeah I look at them and become dejected when they go up. Unless, that is, the numbers are complete bullshit, then we have a much larger problem.
-
I can't look at the numbers anymore. Every time you think it's getting better it just goes back up. So frustrating and sad.

Yep. A meteorologist I am not Saltbox.

About to go down.

1070 new positives reported in PA today. Went up. Still down from last week by a good clip I believe.

I love the back to the future movies. Part 1 may be the greatest movie of all time. But the more I think about it I really think they botched the ending of an otherwise amazing trilogy with Doc and his kids coming back in a flying train. Shit got cartoonish real quick then it was over. I want a reboot of the BTTF trilogy so badly...sans train.

Freezing temperatures kill the allergens so I guess that's good. Other than that, WTF.
-
Dr. Rachel calls me directly to report on PASR first before they post broadly. Good to know people I guess
-
888 new in PA reported today. 4 straight with less than 1000 and 3 straight under 900. That's encouraging for sure.
-
That's definitely not good. I'd be curious though (and I can't find this anywhere) to see how we're doing per capita vs. all of Europe.

No waffle now since salty received clues. Maybe I'll bring him a laffy taffy instead.
-
Salty I'll buy you a Waffle from the Waffle Haus if you can tell me what the Tetons are named after, without looking online of course.
-
I hope we're not but you're probably right. One thing PASR definitely does right are ski trips (with corresponding TR). Will be interesting to see if those happen. I'm hopeful but who the hell knows.

True although Jim Thorpe and Lehighton are really low (35 or so total between the two of them) and folks are definitely much closer than they are on the mountain. In other Carbon County Covid 19 related news, Mahoning Valley Cinema is closed for good which is a huge bummer.
-
BTW 865 new today in PA. That's three straight days with less than 1k reported.
-
Not gonna lie. Get a little prideful of that being a Carbon county resident. Every county around us is in quadruple digits and here we are sitting at less than 200. Don't get me wrong I wish there was none of this but Carbon is definitely doing their part based on the numbers. There's a sign just outside Jim Thorpe that says stay home Carbon county or something like that shows a map with with hot spot counties surrounding us.

It was yes. They were pushing that pretty hard which is why, between that and the keyboard, I thought companies would be all over it for their mobile workforce.

This coming from someone who uses a 4.7 inch screen (?) phone as their only means of computing and no I never purchased the newer blackberry devices as my virtual keyboard works just fine. I was simply sharing that there have been attempts, albeit failed, to reinvigorate the BB brand recently. It wouldn't be completely unheard of to see one out in the wild.
-
A few years ago rights to the blackberry brand were purchased by TCL. TCL brought BB back running Android with the Blackberry KeyOne and the KeyTwo. They weren't bad phones and I really thought the Enterprise segment were gonna be all over it but it doesn't appear to have panned out. TCL, from what I read, won't re up on BB when it expires this year.

I think 40 and 48 down may need correction.
