  1. Yes sir. Light flakes and white on the grass.
  2. Schools are working with cable companies to provide free internet to folks who qualify for a certain amount of months.
  3. My younger kids are ok with it. They miss their friends but that's about it. Bummed for my oldest for sure who worked hard for 3 1/2 years only to see graduation and prom likely cancelled. We know there are a lot of people dealing with a lot worse because of this so there's definitely perspective. Still sad for her and her friends for sure.
  4. There's online learning. Granted it's not nearly as structured as actual school (at least for the younger kids) there's still a 4th quarter. It's just all virtual.
  5. Schools in Pennsylvania are officially closed for the remainder of the academic year.
  6. Pass renewed this morning.
  7. It sucks. I'm good with days like today since ski season is over. I'm ready to turn off the heat until the fall.
  8. http://covid19.healthdata.org/projections
  9. PA positive cases are down for the second day in a row. Peak for PA has also been adjusted from 4-18 to 4-11 to 4-15. Keep staying at home. It's working.
  10. Massachusetts went down too. Hopefully a positive sign there as well.
  11. I do too. RideDE what will it take for you to stick around during the winter and post real time reports from Sugarbush?
  12. It actually went down. Yesterday Pennsylvania reported 1597 new cases. Today they are reporting 1493.
  13. Wow. Encouraging hostility. Salty I'm shocked and appalled.
  14. Fake news. If you heard that it wasn't related to me skiing. She encourages me to ski for the reasons mentioned above and, more so, because I annoy the shit out of her if I'm in the house a lot (like now). But like I said...it's a balance. Saturday and Sunday mornings at Blue are a lot when she has plans or the kids got stuff going on so I do Saturday morning and Sunday night. Multiple ski trips out west with lots of things happening at home can be tough so I do one trip...gotta balance that shit out. Edit...I think I remember that conversation now. She did say that if I got hurt again she'd kill me... Lol.
  15. That's good. I didn't mean him specifically but more so in general. I'm no marriage counselor but you hear "my wife" or "my husband" won't let me do something so frequently. I can't understand that. Granted a person shouldn't completely drop their spouse for a hobby. There's definitely a balance. But it shouldn't be completely taken away either. Taking away something that someone loves for selfish reasons will likely lead to unhappiness for that person and, I'd guess, an unhappy marriage. Again not specific to Ride who likely makes turns with his wife. But, instead, a Ridgeracer life lesson that I wanted to share.
  16. Gotta have time for your hobbies and the things you love too.
  17. No not mousse. It was a vaseline like substance. I'm not really sure what it was to be honest.
  18. No moustache. Went to catholic school. We weren't allowed to have facial hair, or hair below the collar. So my response to that was to grow it gravity defyingly high. "Product" was needed each morning.
  19. I did. Who didn't actually?
  20. I never said or even intended to insinuate that it was the people's fault.
  21. That's fine...not dissing anyone's culture although I certainly have my opinions about the consumption of animals that can be domesticated. My question, more so, surrounds the cleanliness at these places. These places aren't necessarily known for being a clean and safe environment. They're called wet markets apparently because of the "fluids" one would have to walk through upon shopping at one.
  22. I really hate getting involved in the divisive political thing and I think that blaming a politician for a worldwide pandemic seems silly...gives them way too much power. But criticism of their response and lack of preparedness is fair. And there's plenty of criticism at all levels from the President to the mayor of New York who actively encouraged citizens on March 2nd to "get out on the town despite coronavirus"...to quote his tweet. In Feb the NYC Heath Commissioner said that the "risk to New Yorkers from coronavirus is low and ... our preparedness as a city is very high," and encouraged everyone to go to the parade and restaurants being held the following week. IMO criticism to the response, all around, is fair and deserved.
  23. Learning a lot about wet markets because of this. What the actual fuck is up with that and how is it allowed?
