Welcome to the official PASR Elk day 2020 thread. Elk day 2019 was one to remember, complete with good company, good skiing, good food, cold beverages and a tour of TLCITW. This year we're looking at mid to late January for Elk day 2020. Let's use this thread to determine who and when. Want to be cognizant of ski trips and such this go 'round to ensure we have the biggest and baddest turn out yet. Who's interested what days work best for people? I believe last year we did a Friday. Do we stick with that?

I'm sure she would be oh so thrilled to know that her BF has thus far posted on a public forum that he 1) stays with her because she's closer to hunter and 2) has a "nicer place" than her. If I recall there is a post somewhere about their wild and crazy nights together too...unless that was another girlfriend. After all he is a rock star.

Heading out now. Was a fun night! Best conditions I've skied in my 4 days thus far this ski season. Rinse and repeat all night basically with a come around, Midway, lower main combo. The trail report says upper main is open and that is absolutely false unfortunately. Upper main was not open. Still... Conditions were good to very good up top. Lower main was...well, lower main. Not at all crowded probably a 1 to 1 patroller to civilian ratio at times. Rain / snow tapered off and the moon came out with a very light precipitation. All in all a quiet and peaceful night on the bluest of mountains. I'll take it.

That was the point....it wasn't a blatant "let me steal Doug's lines" type of thing like Salty does. Was more of a tounge in cheek let me be stupid like Doug in his roll call thread type of thing. Does that make sense?

Fire on whiteface mountain at the mid mountain lodge....home of the legendary veggie burger. Sad. Thankfully no injuries.
