  1. Go! RT flights to phoenix can be had for less than 3 hundy currently.
  2. Yeah. So much of their terrain is contingent on natural snow. Snowmaking in general is brand new for them (10 years maybe?). The local native tribes fought it as they believe the mountain is sacred and didn't want reclaimed water being used (the only way. It's Arizona at the end of the day). Ultimately they lost in court and snowbeezy was granted snowmaking. Not for anything but the mountain is sacred to me also and I'm totally ok with it Lol.
  3. Yes but she's wants to go to grad school so not really.
  4. Was supposed to be in flagstaff next week but I moved it
  5. there’s literally nothing more depressing than thick fog, warm temps, brown snow WRODs and evaporating snow on our mountain the week after Christmas. Add in the literal heaps of trash, litter and beer cans under the lift for a stark reminder that we’re officially in the bizarro world of skiing. At least when the skiings good I’m less annoyed by the filth under the lift. Speaking of, @Bluemountain…I know you look at PASR. Do something about that shit. My township dump is cleaner than Blue and that’s not even an exaggeration. It’s embarrassing and your stupid giant trash cans only make it worse. If you’re gonna have those eye sores out at least send someone out daily to clean up after the jackasses that have no aim, along with the trail of trash leading up to the cans, which btw simply proves that the giant trash cans don’t work. Put goddamn signs out that say “if you’re caught littering you lose your pass”…and enforce that. That would be better I think than having your patrollers playing laser tag with really good skiers that are fully in control. apologies for the rant. Feel like crap, and this weather is depressing.
  6. Game time decision and I'm out. Feel like crap. Tomorrow if I feel normal (and the rain holds)
  7. Dudes are always responsible for trash and bug removal. It’s just how it is
  8. Santa gave us an early present with consistent fast, grippy snow throughout the mountain and smaller crowds today. Today was really good. Fast and grippy snow + less people was a recipe for putting the hammer down, especially early on. In the house today we're Jeff, Dan, Mute, justo, boo, salty, Ben, pops, enjo, mixel, nmski, schif, Nancy and many more. Everything skied well today and was less divoty, paradise was surprisingly good and, coverage wise, after the second turn looked like end to end. coming soon was light years better than yesterday. Lazy was decent but the star of the show again was vista-mid-main. Oh and Shout out to whoever decided to put "rise and grind"...the excellent coffee shoppe down in the lower lodge. They serve up a top notch latte. Merry Christmas all!

Fun day at Blue today. In the house (that I saw. But I'm oblivious) we're JFDan, atomicskier, Dirtwolf, Ryan, Ben, mbike, mix, nastar Glenn and lots of others. Guns were ablaze very early on. Excellent, top notch conditions those first few runs on vista, mid, lower main. Grippy and fast snow. In fact that particular run held the whole morning which was nice. Next up was lazy which is indeed open. The snow wasn't bad but it was filled with rollers and divots (and people). First run on it was good. Cookie free too which was a plus. Kinda narrow though meaning lots of braking, especially later on. Coming soon was a mess, slick and divots everywhere. Didn't ski paradise. Overall a good day but the crowds ultimately descended as did the race team who was seemingly everywhere today. All told it was a good day and the crowds did seem a bit spread out more ... especially those first few runs when everyone went to lazy and we got to rip vista, mid, main on great snow. Perhaps the runs of the year so far.
  10. We’ll see shortly I guess. I’m just happy it’s open
  11. Sure it does, or Is this like the Nile mile at blue thing?
  12. Yeah I looked at the webcam and that was that. See you all tomorrow bright and early
  13. Damn I was considering a raw dawg session but not if it's a shit show on shit conditions.
  14. I don't mean for this to come off dramatic. I'm just saying...If I get a radar gun style "speeding ticket" at blue I will strongly consider other pass options next season.
  15. “Baby it’s cold outside”
  16. Can you imagine a towrope at a pocono resort, with pocono crowds / visitors? Film and send to America’s Funniest Home Videos for sure.
  17. I’m not saying that but you know better than most there’s a different vibe that exists in certain areas. I’ve actually had this conversation with Barb before. Places do exist west of the Mississippi where the Barb to Karen ratio is probably like 100 to 1.
  18. That’s so infuriating to read and you’re right…it is the mentality. A stark reminder of how badly I need out of here. “Here” as in northeast, east coast…whatever.l
  19. My goodness. We can’t get a break.
  20. This site was probably designed for "Netscape Navigator"
  21. Looks like it’s working now
  22. We just got a call from the school district. I thought maybe a Christmas miracle happened overnight a d the rain changed to snow. Nope...busses are delayed because of excessive flooding on the roads
  23. It’s disgusting outside
  24. Today was so much fun. Perhaps the best session of the season so far for me. Spent a lot of time today like Tom Petty....Free Fallin'. Good snow on that side despite the narrow trails and thin cover. Some leg burning later as bumps formed. Upper and lower dis is definitely narrow but the middle was ok. Blue pulled it out. Good on them! Despite the flood warning for palmerton hoping its not too terrible. Pray for cold next week.
