Nice out here, to say the least

1.5 to 2 hours at Blue, especially when there are no lines, is a solid session. I try to keep it to 2 hours minimum if I can. Longer sessions are mandatory when someplace else though.

Planning on a late afternoon / early evening sesh.

I hope you're joking. Multiple people stated that they missed you, myself included.

In the words of Flossy Carter...on a scale of 1 to 10, today was a major, major, major go (triple major being the highest one can attain). The food was amazing. the skiing was nice, the company was top notch. Not really sure what else to say but today was a very good day.

Telling the lady what to write was a hoot. Figured Salty could have dibs on the piece with the 170 icing.

Who is Barney & why does he get his own bumps?
RidgeRacer replied to Jersey Tomato's topic in Blue Mountain
Ahhh that's the famous and rare photo from his very last competition! Legend has it that this was the event that prompted him to give up skiing for show business for good. So much talent, wasted. -

He's a purple anthropomorphic T Rex from the Land make believe. Before becoming a singer / actor he was a bad ass bump skier in the mold of Johnny Moseley. After losing a few competitions he decided to leverage his other talents (singing, arm swaying and acting) into a potentially more lucrative career. He obtained an agent, hit the big time and the rest is history. In an effort to honor his skiing prowess, Blue decided to name a trail in his honor. Believe it or not he still skis recreationaly at his home mountain in the Land of Make Believe but given time constraints (as you could imagine) his skiing is limited. Post skiing pick of Barney below. -
I'm in for Sunday. Will probably be there around 11 but better late than never I guess.

It took me a minute to figure out what Doug was referring to when he mentioned blonde hair actually. Pretty amazing how he saw that.

84 east but getting off and heading north into NY a little before Milford. Then it's 55 I think through some small towns into and through Catskill Park. The last part is scenic but the roads suck in there. Google Maps says 3 hours but I always make it closer to 2 and a half (queue JFDan time machine comment). There are other ways too if you don't feel like dealing with the potholes in Catskill Park. Planning on heading up the week after next.

David Ruffin was part of the Temptations, as in Motown. Had no idea until Google just told me.

Not sure about from the LV but there's a baller route to Belle, at least there is from the Poconos, that bypasses the Thruway altogether and is about 40 miles shorter than it would take to get to Hunter.

Wow. That's original

Thing's terrible.

Yep. Noticed Mike's pants and pulled a "hey there's Mike and Indiggio...oh shit!". LOL

Heard the same Monday night. 3-31 is looking like the date.

We rip Elk solely because of their marketing (Vermont and all that). It's an otherwise really cool hill. Nice change of pace for sure.

The more I read, I have less and less desire to skip Belle for Hunter when going to the Skillz.

Sorry about that dude. I kept going and didn't see you guys talking until it was too late. Figured I'd catch up to you all but never did unfortunately. Didn't even know other peeps were there until I ran into edge at 8:30 who said he saw Johnny Law, who I finally met up with right after that.
