What does any of that have to do with the actual trail length? I'm not going to sit here and have a gaper style argument with you over two Pennsylvania molehills but there's no way in hell Shawnee's runs are 50% longer than Frost.
-
Everyone will have their own opinion about where there's culpability when these things happen. And it's PASR so, by nature, people are going to act like goof balls. At the end of the day, and I think you know this, people here genuinely care about you and that you weren't seriously hurt. My opinion only but think about the pass thing before saying definitively that you're out. Let all of it sink in, weigh the pros and cons and if you still want to leave, so be it. It's not like you would be leaving for Camelback or Bear Creek. Belle is a pretty fucking cool place, but there may be negatives to doing that too that may want to think about.

It would be significant if it were actually the case. Or by 50% are you referring to home much you saved on lift tickets and cocoa? Shawnee has a few longer runs than Frost but let's not sit here and act like its some beast of a hill in comparison. It's not.
-
"Significantly" may be pushing it.
-
Gotcha. By off the snow, I thought maybe you were referring to conditions deteriorating in the lodge at Frost. Do they still have the burrito stand? That was always $$

This meme gets me every time. I can't look at it and not laugh. I've tried

Conditions off the hill?
-
I'm going with 3 inches before the obligatory "changeover".

Sorry dude. The bright side is that he's probably giving you an honest answer. The downside is that the answer / reality is crap. How long does it take to mark an area, especially if it was on their to do "list"? If you deem something hazardous then don't open it until it's marked. IDK maybe I'm oversimplifying whatever their process is pre opening. Hope you're feeling better.

When did it ever?

Sounds like a pretty awesome weekend with the fam. Hope all goes well with your wife and that she's feels better quick.

Turned to rain / freezing rain. I'm wet. Fun night regardless.

Snow stopped... switchback is the shit
-
It looks perfectly fine to ski right now. Nothing happening on it. Just not open... And challenge is its usual cookie ass self so the front 2 are out of play for this evening.
-
How the fuck is razors closed. NMDW is open but but weird still. Sidewinder is fun. Off to switchback...
-
It's kind of a shit show but the snow is good. Snowing up top.
-
Looks like it was a great time today. Headed down for a night session shortly. Just waiting for the crowds to dissipate.

Way to make an entrance PSUFly. Welcome to PASR!

Today was decent. Enjoyed switchback and sidewinder the most I think. NMDW was closed again for who the hell knows why. I've pretty much written off Razors for weekend morning sessions... really sucks if NMDW is going that route as well. Overall still a fun day. -
There definitely were no complaints on anything day. If I had to guess north of 20 runs easily.

Credit where credit is due. Took them a while but converting the Alpine slide into a ski trail is the right move. Looks fun.

You wouldn't do a season pass at Elk if it were closer?

Good points. I was looking at it from a dealing with the crowds perspective. You feel that 400,000 so much more at Blue, which is a tiny fraction of the size of a JH. 700,000 spread out across 2500 acres, to me, seems ideal. Then again they live / ride out there for a reason so I can totally understand their frustration.
-
I wish we had their problems. They should come spend a winter in Pennsylvania...for perspective.
-
$600 for a full pass vs. $429 at Blue? That's like paying $50 for a Big Mac meal at McDonalds vs. $40 for the Prime Ribeye at Morton's.
