  1. A few more from today.
  2. Ever. All Time. In the History of the World. However you want to say it, he's it. Granted I'm a Pats fan and probably not the best person to debate this but others tend to agree... Troy Aikman "I think unequivocally, at least in my mind, Tom Brady is the greatest. And I'm proud to be able to say that, and I know that most everyone will agree with that." Brett Favre "I think if Tom wins this game, and I never thought I’d say this, he surpasses Joe Montana as the greatest ever," says Favre. " He's what Gretzky is to Hockey and Jordan is to Basketball in my mind.
  3. Ugh. Didn't see this although I'm pretty sure we did this or something similar in the morning. All of the best stuff seemed to be along the ropes.
  4. No chains although chains or AWD were required to get into the Cottonwoods. Storm was a bust in that it didn't snow much during the day. That said, some people were saying that a foot fell overnight which makes sense since scored some pretty sick runs in the am...powder, float, people wooo-hooo'ing etc.. Those didn't last very long however since they closed little cloud, the tram, mineral basin (I don't think they ever dropped the rope there). After 3 or so hours in the Gad Valley, we ate then headed to the Peruvian Gulch area and skied there until around 3:30. Did a lot of traversing and found some nice turns although nothing equivalent to what we got in the morning (Dan snapped a few good pics). Bell to bell, Brighton was better condition wise yesterday but the am runs today were so good, unfortunately that didn't last very long and because of the wind we couldn't ski the best of the bird. Not complaining...still a good day. We were kicking around the idea of powder mt tomorrow but they were closed today and apparently also tomorrow because of wind and avalanche danger. Also kicked around the Canyons but looking like Solitude. We shall see.
  5. The cirque is great unfortunately it doesn't appear to be in the cards today since all lifts to the top are closed
  6. Enjoying lunch at mid gad currently. We made 2nd tram this morning. Hidden peak at 11k feet was complete vertigo with what was probably 70 mph winds. We literally skied blind to regulator Johnson for some really deep bottomless shit but we couldn't see it on the upper half of the run. Visibility got a bit better and Dan and I skied some straight poe to the little cloud lift. It was so good that you we braved the elements again. Next down regulator to the Gad Valley where we parked it ever since. We found some deep and untouched the first few runs but it quickly got tracked out. Whatever snow they were calling for today hasn't come but it definitely did dump overnight. The bad news... Wind gusts have reached 90mph and everything up top is closed (tram, little cloud, mineral basin etc). Still a good day. Off to Peruvian (unless they close that)
  7. So far so good...
  8. It's been all satellite radio. So far no U2 unfortunately.
  9. Just arrived at the Bird. First off, the important stuff. We rocked out to Pearl Jam radio and a little Snoop D-O double G on 90's at 9. We enjoyed a nice hotel breakfast consisting of coffee, sausage, eggs and home fries. about an hour and 15 minutes early but didn't want to take any chances coming up the Canyon road. Ride was pretty uneventful. Roads got somewhat spicy right near the resort where it's snowing. The resort is saying 5 inches overnight with another 7 plus on tap for today. Today could be pretty sick as the sounds of Avy bombs are bouncing off the Canyon walls. Looking up at this monster I'm reminded why this place is my absolute favorite ski resort. This next hour is gonna last forever... Edit... Some dude is putting in sunscreen. Hahahahahaha
  10. Dan has better one's. He's got the knack for capturing powder / action shots.
  11. Brighton in the books. Great day. Snowbird tomorrow for what looks to be a serious powder day. Calling for upwards of a foot and a half between now and COB tomorrow. That's similar to the last time I skied Bird which was a sick day to say the least.
  12. Great day today. Started at 9, just finishing up now. The amount of untracked, untouched powder that we found today I think took us by surprise. Boot to knee deep in spots especially off of Mt Millicent and the Great Western . more later
  13. Bird tomorrow most likely. We were one of the first chairs at 9am.
  14. The storm today appears to have over produced. Found plenty of untracked all over millys. Spent the entire morning here. Off to the other side after lunch. First time at brighton and it's pretty fucking good.
  15. I still can't believe we won that game. Years from now I'll be telling my grand kids about that game and where I was when it went down (on a flight with JFDan watching on a laptop courtesy of the airline's in flight TV). We timed the layover in Chicago perfectly (halftime). Fools there were laughing and making jokes cause I was rocking my Brady jersey and shit looked dire at the time. The dude scanning tickets kept repeating the score on the mic to razz me and the flight attendants were making jokes as well. I told the guy that it's not over and the D Bag laughed. Who's laughing now!! You can CASH ME OUTSIDE cause we're world champions!
  16. No sleep last night...on complete overload. Snow totals have increased again. Looking at a few inches today but 7 to 10 overnight and up to another 7 to 10 during the day tomorrow. Damn! Snow for today looks minimal. up to 3 total. Looks like Brighton will be our locale.
  17. Just landed in SLC. Oh and WORLD CHAMPIONS!!! TB12 is the undisputed GOAT. Woooooooooo
  18. If Mother Nature came to us and said "Hey Fellas...I know you're going out to Utah, tell me when you'd like it to snow" I'm fairly certain the forecast would look exactly the same as what Dan just posted.
  19. Shadows returns to skiing a day in going to miss it!
  20. C1er are you a level 3?
  21. Looking like our flight may be broadcasting the Super Bowl if we have overhead TVs. Bringing multiple devices and extra juice just in case.
  22. Couldn't make it out tonight, tomorrow is out...Busy week. Ugh. I get freaking antsy after 3 or 4 days without skiing.
  23. Out for Saturday. Looking like tonight only for me.
