Seems like the whims of the race team are more important then having JF's best terrain open for the general public / pass holders during peak hours? As evidenced by previous patrons being clearly pissed off about it (in this thread), can't be a recipe for success.
-
That's insane. What's JF thinking? Razors was open today and the racers were on razorback. It was perfect.

1/16/16..nice conditions..fog to sun!!!

Here now with my daughter. Conditions are great. It's crowded but nothing crazy. Literally skiing onto the quad. Off to the lodge in a few to watch the Patriots for a bit. -
True but I'm talking about frost specifically... It's a "staircase" type of mountain (flat, pitch, flat etc). I would assume that's not the best terrain for racing (speed) . I have no idea however as the extent of my racing is the bronze freaking medal that I won in NASTAR at Montage.
-
While I agree with everyone...sucks that some of the best terrain at frost is limited during prime ski time, If I can play devil's advocate here for a moment, where else could you put a JFBB "race team" ? No trail IMO at JF or BB is conducive to racing. While I hate the fact the the racers close off Razors, razors is a true race trail so I can understand somewhat. For better or for worse (definitely worse in this instance) I think they're trying to make the best of what they have.

A great photog as well.

Tonight was fun. Best snow was on Lazy. Nice to ski Paradise. At one point around 5:45 or so a groomer made it's way down paradise and fresh tracks were had. Still blowing on razors and I believe widowmaker. Fun evening.

While a claw machine would class it up slightly, The base Lodge looks awful. Maybe the Zoltar machine will be placed in the lobby of the new resort? I'd invest in it for sure if that happens.
-
Really wish this was replacing the base Lodge which is in needs to be demolished
-
Probably.

P-town is right up the road and includes shopping, fine dining and many other convenient amenities.

How do you not know this? Despite never stepping foot in Wyoming, I could probably draw an accurate architectural rendering of the 49er after reading about it year in and year out. -
ditto.

Shitty call on Blue's part. I'm sitting here in my living room, looking out the window watching the orange sunset over Blue Mt in the distance. Would be a great evening of skiing had they stayed open. SMH -

Despite the somewhat shitty weather, today was a lot of fun. Can't wait to see what next weekend looks like after a week of solid snow-making temps. Good day today though. -
Just got home.... Pretty much all of pasr were in the lower lot when I left.

Already know where and when you're going west this season?
RidgeRacer replied to phillycore's topic in General Chat
It's probably not Snowbird or Steamboat but based on this pic I would say yes . -
The dude did a really nice job on that video. The music isn't my thing but overall this is pretty cool. https://youtu.be/ROWfrA7KZAU
