Can't get there that early unfortunately. Looking at a 530 or so arrival. How long were you planning on staying?
-
Wednesday night for me.
-
Big boulder is closed mid week too.
-
I love how they put an exclamation point next to the announcement too. Like it's a good thing their ski season is over. Shit has me shaking my Herman.
-
They gotta be the first area in Vermont to be closing for the season... Oh wait.

Decent day with a number of PASRs in attendance. I arrived around 1015 and conditions were decent. Grippy for the most part, mostly snow cone, sugar etc. Not as good as yesterday but decent. Temps warmed up after noon and things softened up slightly. Crowds were fairly large and the quad was closed which was a bummer which meant lines at the 6 pack. Root and I even got scolded for moving towards the lift before we were told. Looking forward to more of that during the peak weekends next season. Regardless twas a fun day of skiing.

Just looked at the map. It was black bear. I can see that being blue if that's normally a park. But Kodiak too. That's a green in PA, out west it's a parking lot.
-
Wasn't calling sasquatch a green but that one that is marked blue under the lift near the hotel. I'm too lazy to look at a map. Next to the ski patrol shack. It's flat. And yeah 500 vert has to be stretching it. I didn't mind the rain at all and the snow was pretty good.
-
I will say they do have a lot of snow.
-
The top to bottom run on the side closer to the hotel? The statue is definitely baller I'll give you that, but that run is barely a green anywhere else. Unless you're talking about something else. Sasquatch and the run next to it were good for a couple of turns.

All day long. When I can ski to bottom trees at cb then maybe I'll change my opinion.
-
Maybe I'll need a tour then but not from what I skied. I didn't find anything like BB trail or snow drift. Not that those are great runs but their Ok.

Skied bear creek tonight for the first time in my lots of years of skiing. (nice to get a new place under my belt.) They kicked me out at 815 due to the rain which ended the minute I left. Still skied a good hour. Random thoughts... I appreciate Blue much more than I did before. I'm not hating on the place. The facilities are by far better than anything else in the area. But it may be the flattest, smallest place I've been to. It makes big boulder feel like zermatt. Not hating. It just wasn't my thing. It was skiing so I was happy. Toast... good call on not going tonight.
-
Garbage. Looking like bear creek tonight if they stay open.
-
Cool. Might hit it that last weekend.
-
That is good. Weren't they closed this time last year?
-
Wait it was free? Damn. Toast beat me to it.
-
Great view from Penns Peak with Beltsville Lake in the foreground and blue mountain in the distance.
-
Presidentials? I should be there at least of those days. Looking forward to it. Item to be brought yet to be determined.

Got stuff going on all this weekend which is really why I skied tonight..next weekend is likely. Still need to upgrade my pass at some point.
