This. KC was a real nice dude when we met him. You could tell he was genuinely passionate about the place. Fluffy spends a lot of time in the sno forum.
  3. They just posted that Frost is open through Easter. Woo.
  4. This, Glad to be skiing frost this late in the season. So much snow - With more on the way and more cold temps hopefully they keep it open or at least re-open next weekend.
  5. Calling for 3 to 5 for the Pocs on Monday still. We shall see.
  6. Roasted duck with raspberry glaze. Washed it down with Grand Mariner. My daughter had a shirley temple.
  7. Snow looks great. So you didn't meet the man, the myth, the legend that is ride delaware? Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  8. Just back from a great day at Frost. Me and my daughter got there around 12:15, Parked in a prime spot, booted and passed up and headed down T bolt to East for some Rivershot, Elevator action. There we met up with JFDan, Guitar, Tiny Moose and Wendy from the SkiDiva who will hopefully become a PASR soon. We hung out on East for a bit and even skied Floyds for Doug (Doug - today Floyd's Folly featured a fast, frozen cord and sugary surface, very grippy and no ice. Not as good as last weekend but if the radar guns were out then it would be clocking Bode Miller type speeds).Vadar was crunchy and crusty but easily skiable and grippy. The bottom is thin and rocks were poking out somewhat. We headed west skiing Challenge, T-Bolt, did a bump run on Exhibition and and few runs on One Park before everyone peaced out. My little one and I stayed till 4 then hit up the Micky D's on 940. Today was so much fun. No crowds to speak of and really great snow. They're still rocking a nice base and plenty of snow in the trees - not all akiable but white in the trees always looks better than dirt or grass. No word on closing. It would be a shame if they did close with the amount of snow left. Who knows - maybe next weekend at Frost is a possibility.
  9. Nice. Closing at 8 too. I may have to pop in for a sesh during the week.
  10. Vinny this is awesome. Nice job bro. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  11. Oh yeah that Sunday's Easter. My Grandmother would be pissed if she knew I forgot what day Easter was. But yeah why not stay open at least on that Saturday? I guess giving the passholders 101 days would really suck for them becuase the nearly a grand that they charge for a pass is just chump change.
  12. Why close on a Friday. Would it kill them to stay open until Sunday?
  13. haha Not sure what will happen overnight but it's dumping now. Took me 2 hours to get home from work and I'm guessing 4 inches is out on the deck right now.
  14. Just skied Floyds for Doug. Doug Floyds currently offers a speedy and groomed also grippy packed powder surface. One could easily break a blazing 35 mph on it this fine morn. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  15. Met up with jfDan a little after 9. With the 4 inches reported last night I was shocked to see the Jack frost canyon road was open - chains required though so it took me a little longer to get here. Did a few east elevator runs, challenge, bolt before Dan left. In all seriousness, conditions are really good - January or February like. Vader is crusty underneath but able to edge with the 2inches that fell yesterday on top. Not much in the way of crowds, it's like an unofficial employee appreciation day with the blue and red coats out and about. Plenty of snow / base. With the forecast next week, we should be golden for next weekend.

  17. To be quite honest, I'm not sure why people vacation at either. Especially places like wildwood etc. A ton of people in Philly throw their deposits down for those places early (like in February) every year. It's an annual tradition to get their deposits in for "the shore". With the $$ that they spend they could go on a cruise, go out west, see the country etc. but nope - wildwood it is! Same for a lot of NJ / NYers and the Poconos.
  18. Seriously Barb. That's really cool. Leaving the beach (Jersey) for the Rockies is a great story. I haven't been to "the shore" in almost a decade.
  19. The best is when they're teaching their kids and I hear then screaming..." BIG PIZZA, BIG PIZZA. YOU GOT IT!" from the lift. Meanwhile the kid is a mess and all of a sudden their instructors now.
  20. As much as gapers get under my skin, its the middle aged guys who tell everyone they know that they're "skiers" and break out the old skis, the neon and the head band twice a year to ski groomers making as many tight turns as humanly possible that get under my skin. At least Texans are out there having fun. These d bags think that they're actually legit.
  21. Here now. Frozen cord is fast as hell. Sure to soften up soon. Still some lines in the trees.
  22. Actually - looks like you're at 9 mountains. I'm at 7. Throw in Blue possibly, Camelback definitely and we're even. And since I can see Plattelkill from my house (not really) maybe 10.
  23. I'm living the Vinny life next season...sampling different mountains like he's sampling fine wines. Stay thirsty my friends.
