  1. I got the impression that the mountain coaster is for non skiers / boarders to experience gravity pulling you down a mountain without having to actually ski / ride it. IMO If you want to go fast down a mountian there should be one or two pieces of wood attached to your feet. Otherwise you have no business being on it (except in the non ski season then I'm ok with it.) But in the Spring, Summer or fall why wouldnt you just go to Knoebels, Dorney Hershey etc?
  2. I agree.
  3. Is that the lift with the graffiti and shit at the loading station? I lol'd at that. And it definitely skis smaller than it looks.
  4. Schif my bad. I was going to post to see if anyone was gonna be there. But thats exactly how I felt. Skiing is just another thing that they do there. Water slides, zip lines, the coaster, the Rhianna blasting. Crazy. I'm literally riding the lift and there are people riding a roller coaster under my feet. I was waiting for PT Barnum to unveil king tusk the Ugandan elephant, and the zebra from Madagascar to break out in a rendition of "Afro circus". No pass for me there. I was almost lured in by the $199 deal. Not happening As for the skiing. It was OK. Mashed potatoes turned into Sierra cement as the night went on. Nile mile was the run of the night. Cliffhanger got icy in the troughs later on. King tut was nice. Pharoe (sp?) was thin and crusty. Meh Moe I think the hotel idea is on hold or not gonna happen. Not sure which. Looks like they broke ground on it though.
  5. Snow is getting firm. Like glacial ice (Robert2 homage there)
  6. Got here at 5ish. The snow is sloppy mashed potatoes aka nice spring conditions. Lots of bumps, divots, slush in spots. Thin cover as well on a lot of trails. Blue had more / better snow on Thursday. Hard to get speed since everything is bumped up even cliffhanger. The mountain coaster looks cool. Lots of people are riding it. I feel like I'm skiing at knoebels. I'm not crazy about it. I was seriously thinking about picking up the value pass but now I'm thinking otherwise. I kinda miss frost right now. Anyway off to the waffle cabin for a snack.
  7. I'm still skiing. I'll be at cb later this afternoon in fact.
  8. Closing before all of the other major resorts in the area? That's like skiing in Vermont woithout the drive.
  9. Seems like a great deal. Only caveat is that you can't ski before 3pm on weekends. Seriously thinking about this as a late afternoon and night / after work option for next season for me and my daughter. Anyone else notice this?
  10. Lots of fun tongiht. Great coverage pretty much everywhere except for a thin spot on challenge. Snow stayed soft until closing. Runs of the night were Nightmare and Switchback. When I went in to get my pass, the family in front of me dropped a few hundred dollars or so for lift tix / rents etc.just to ski a few hours. Plus it seemed pretty busy so who knows, maybe it was worthwhile for them to stay open. Anyway props to Blue for the free ticket and good conditions.
  11. Not lazy. paradise. Twas nice. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  12. Arrived at 6. Got my free pass. Conditions are very nice. Mashed potatoes, good coverage. Skied razors challenge headed over to lazy now. Fun night.
  13. Cool just getting here now. We'll see Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2
  14. How is it? I'll be there around 6 to close tonight.
  15. No kidding. Dumb question...Why is it called Montage Mountain Resorts (plural)?
  16. Should be there tomorrow after work. Probably at boulder tonight.
  17. Good stuff KC. glad the mountain's true name is back. Sno was stupid and childish.
  18. Trying to get there tomorrow or Thursday after work.
  19. Brag away. haha nice.

Calling KC out for talking to other mountains is pretty harsh. That's his business, not PASR's. That being said, I don't blame him for inquiring about employment at other mountains. He was probably just as unsure about Sno opening as we were. The guy probably needed a job and a backup plan. That doesn't diminish the fact that he clearly has enthusiasm for the place.
  21. I have to agree with Doug on this one

This. KC was a real nice dude when we met him. You could tell he was genuinely passionate about the place. Fluffy spends a lot of time in the sno forum.
  23. They just posted that Frost is open through Easter. Woo.
  24. This, Glad to be skiing frost this late in the season. So much snow - With more on the way and more cold temps hopefully they keep it open or at least re-open next weekend.
