$119? No thank you. Vail is so far down the list of places to ski it's not even funny.
-
Wish I could but it's Frost for me tomorrow.
-
It's on the elevator believe it or not. When are you making your annual trip to Planet Jack Frost?
-
Yeah - He texted it to me. I'm officially jealous. I'll be in the house tomorrow.
-
Actually I wasnt able to ski today. However if everything is groomed out I'm definitely not stressing about it.
-
I would say Lake Harmony eneded up with 6 or 7. I don't think there was much accumulation after 10 or 11 'oclock last night.

Stick around and keep posting Nodaysoff. PASR is a very welcoming bunch. More so than Alpine Zone. I remember when one dude posted that he was from PA in the welcome thread they basically told him to come here. lol BTW has anyone else resorted to reading PASR while driving (well at red lights at least?)

For off piste - Frost should be fantastic all weekend.

Met up with JFDan for some powder turns tonight at BB. It's absolutely going off! Near whiteout conditions when I left 3 to 4 inches fell in the little over 2 hours while I was there. Visibility was tough but who cares, it was fun. Can't ski tomorrow so have fun out there everyone. It's going to be good.

Now that he's successfully trolled there's nothing else to see here... Move along PS what happened to I want ice cream? I like how he always ends his posts with "regards". It adds an element of class to the site.

Saturday vs. Sunday = Less Crowded
RidgeRacer replied to oldtimeskier's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
Vinny is right. Sundays may actually be worse at times, especially when the scouts are in the house. -
Instead of complaining about the board being dead, contribute and post up stuff worth reading. I look at it differently. I feel like PASR has matured over the years. Some of the crap that went down here early on was crazy.

Made the decision to do a RAW session tonight on a whim when I pulled into Lake Harmony and the snow was falling. Two things... 1) The snow was incredible. Holy shit it was good. The mini storms that we've been having all week have been accumulating and it paid off tonight. Even the lifities were like "great snow huh". There were tele-skiers on BB trail, racers on Mid-way, Snow in the trees. I forgot I was at Big Boulder at one point! 2) Whoever made the decision to keep BB Trail a trail and not a park deserves a raise. Totally makes up for the decision to cut down the trees on snowdrift a few years ago. Definitely one of the better night sessions that I can remember. If it's this good on Thursday I'll be back for another RAW sesh.

Touche.

Here's another pic with the south peak poking out in the upper left. With a lot of snow on the ground it doesn't look like it would be to hard to get over there. Would like to hike over there in the summer if at all possibe to check it out.

LMAO Rambo - Nice pics bro. The tree shots are $.

Five days after, it wasnt virgin pow as far as the eye could see by any stretch but we found a few spots. There was this one spot which I honestly can't even remember where it was. It was sitting there - untouched. Phillycore knows what I'm talking about. Then we found some fun stuff (all in the trees) off of West Rustler, the Supreme chair and in the Wildcat area towards snowbird - again nothing which is right in front of your face but stuff that took some scouting out for sure.

We skied Alta 5 days after a storm last year and found all kinds of shit.
-
A dry Utah is a thousand times better than the east. Powder can be found for days after a storm at Alta and powder.
-
Forget this icy shit.Just go to Utah.
-
Actually Jack Frost was crazy busy, at least lesson wise it was. When I did get to ski a little the 3 best runs were the one Park Glade, happyland, and the elevator. Nice day.

Shawnee place was demolished about 5 years ago
-
It's always less crowded everywhere on Superbowl Sunday. You should be ok.
-
I like it. If you have kids its nice because its not huge and its easy to keep an eye on them.

They let Tecumseh bump up in good snow years only for the most part.
