Here's another geography lesson,,,At 2,700 feet, the North Knob of Elk Mountain stands as the highest peak east of the Alleghenies. I'm sure I'll hit it at some point. I'll let you know. - 3 weeks till Utah.

It's a buck - rip off.

I like it - It was fun blasting down it. I'm lucky I didn't lose my pass!

940 was a mess too while I was out as was 80. So my only recourse was split rock knowing that toll booth f-ing Willie was gonna give me a problem because I didn't have a Buck. So i had to prepare my lines accordingly on the fly. It didn't matter because despite I 80 and 940 being parking lots, despite the fact that there were fire trucks and ambulances everywhere. The split rock toll collector didn't give a shit. After begging the guy to let me through, and people screaming behind me, and a phone call that he made in which no one answered, he finally let me through and yelled at me to "just go!". WTF

I'll actually vouch for the jfbb ruler this time. 3 is pretty accurate. I was by your house and your area got less than lake harmony. I was pretty surprised.

LOL no but speaking of Russia, it looked more like Siberia after I left the endless mountains region. Around Wilkes barre it started to dump and it didn't stop through the Poconos. Anyway as much as I like to make fun of elk and their slogan, its hard not to like the mountain. The Fall line trails are the best this side of the state. I "woo hoo" more there than anywhere south of there. Easily one my favorite areas. Iroquois

What many people don't know is that Elk mt (the actual mountain) has 2 "peaks". There is the south knob from the Delaware trail. There is your geography lesson for today.

Yeah making snow on Susquehanna at the bottom. Kickapoo is the one with all the turns. Lenape is fun too

Decent conditions. Recovering nicely from the warm up and rain. Sun peeking in and out with flurries. Tunk is completely groomed out which is something I've never seen. More to come...

Thinking about heading up tomorrow morning if anyone's gonna be there.

Plattekill Making Moves (Improvements)
RidgeRacer replied to Ride Delaware ?'s topic in Other Mountains
Every time I head that way I'm driving past Albany in three hours on the nose. Hell you can see the Catskills from the summit of camelback. It's not that far. I've never been to plattekill but I can't image it being more than 3 tops
