Dan the man said it all. Frost was awesome today, It snowed and snowed and snowed from open to close. Extremely busy day but managed to make a few runs with Dan and lunch with Phillycore who was also in the house. One Park was nice. Also skied the new and improved T Bolt glade - still thin in spots but it'll suffice if your looking for a little tree action. Happyland is also nice. Still hesitant to go too far in though. Damatte's around 2pm or so was Deion Sanders (Prime Time) with freshly fallen snow to plow though - so much fun. Roads were plowed out nicely around 4 or so and had no problems getting home. GREAT day!

Just back from BB. Met JFDan who was pulling 2 mountain JF and BB day. Dan was pulling his best Clark Griswald on the sled impersonation on his new Blizzard Bonifides. They're fast. We skied BB park, Bunny Elbow and Love a number of times. Snow is top freaking notch right now with the left overs from the storm. Tonight, however, I witnessed something that in all of my years of skiing I've never seen before nor may ever see again. While standing in the lift line, the lights at the base where the BB lift went out, We turned and a skier, wearing a bright hunting jacket, was laying face first giving us the thumbs up to let us know he was ok (injured football player on the stretcher style). He came came flying down the tree gully area right where the lift line starts at the BB lift, tripped on a power line and actually took out the lights - amazing. Anyway - fun night tonight.

Elk is probably amazing today. I wish I was there.

There wasn't any rain in the pocs this morning either. Light snow.

Just back. Sorry about the two word posts above. It was snowing then icing and windy as hell on the lift. Anyway - The 3 inches of soft snow that fell earlier made for the best PA snow conditions that I've skied since the 2010/2011 season (I missed the one "powder day" last year in which we got a whole 4 inches). Unfortunately that snow turned to a wintry mix which did nothing to deteriorate conditions but it is painful to ski in unless your wearing one of those gaper baklava face things. It was also one of the busier nights at BB that I can remember. I waited in lines for the BB lift and the Merry Widow. The place to be was on the far side of the trails where 3 inches of snow was untouched. After lappping BB Park trail and Bunny's elbow a bunch of times I headed over to Love which is more sheltered and meant less wind and ice pelting my face. After a few runs there, I reluctantly left. Great snow tonight.

The forecast for Lake Harmony was upped to 4 to 8 inches. No rain until the morning. Work let us out early and I'm going skiing. TR to follow when I get back.

Not opening because of snow? Lame. -
Dematte's is open if you're headed to Frost today.

Welcome back to PASR and the Lehigh Valley Bluemt. If you're at Blue it shouldn't be hard to meet up with PASRs. There are plenty of Blue skiers here.

Great day today with the best snow I've skied since last year. Sunny skies and the snow guns were on the entire time (they've been on non stop for the last few days). They should have a few more trails open for tomorrow - at least Dematte's. They were also blowing the top of Thunderbolt, Janes etc (not sure about East). The top portion of Happyland skied well and there was a little tree action to be had off of One Park. With the forcasted temps this week. Next weekend should be very nice.

On the lift with jfdan. Snow guns worked some magic last night. Chalky man made snow today. Some trees skiable. Will post more later.

BTW - The new t bolt glade looks good. Looks like it'll go top to bottom like happyland. Looking forward to that once they light up the guns on t bolt

At long last the mighty Jack frost has opened. Conditions were good on challenge, even better on one park. Blowing snow everywhere. Not enough blow over to ski trees yet. Met up with jfdan. Phillycore was also in the house but he was enjoying the gnarly terrain on powder puff. Good day. Nice to be back at frost.
