  4. Worked late. Got home late. Definitely skiing tomorrow night.
  5. The trail in the first pic looks real steep. How's the terrain compared to elk?
  6. I doubt the hill will be icy after 10 inches.

    Last weekend

Elk. BTW it would be a shame if this past weekend was their last. They had a ton of snow last weekend. I can't image that they lost much since then.

Definitely. It's just as exciting watching them tackle a steep trail as it was watching them take their first steps. The six inches we got last night didn't hurt either. Could keep people thinking about skiing. BB should have no problem staying open well into April.

Sorry I missed you guys yesterday. I just got back after a really fun and rewarding session at CB. it was easily one of the best days of the season for me simply because my kid literally progressed so much in one day. We pretty much skied the entire mountain and conditions ranged from really nice spring corn to the occasional hardpack in the shady areas. CB still has a lot of snow. I didn't see many thin or bare spots. The lower part of Pharaoh was closed but that's it. The highlight was watching my kid ski rocket and margies with relative ease, definitely taking the next step. Good day.
  10. Skiing CB for free seems more enticing than a full price ticket to Blue.
  11. Kinda sad but it was a great season at Jackson Frost none the less.
  12. Still lots of snow up there. We got there early and it was hardpack and really freaking fast. I was rockin the Atomic Snoops (not the greatest carving ski) wishing I was on my PEs while Dan was making effortless turns on his PEs. On one run down susquehanna, I felt like I was going at a pretty good clip, only to watch a brown blur that was Dan ski past me. After a some fast runs early on, I hit tunkhannok's ice bumps only to bail onto lackawanna. I was surprised to see bumps on mohawk and which we skied and were icy as well. Unfortunately we had to call it a day shortly thereafter as I had a family emergency and had to leave. JFskidan who is a 100% class act and a great friend completely understood (I drove). Still skied most of the mt though. Pics below.
  13. Looks amazing.
  14. Jfskidan and I will be at elk tomorrow. If any PASRs will be there give us a shout.
  15. This post is pure win and on behalf of the dude who was hurt in hanging valley.....Thank you. That's the least you could have gotten.
  16. ahahaha! Had a lot of fun messing around in the trees and vader today. Snow got better as the day went on. The sun finally came out around 1:30 or so and things only got even better from there. Hero snow! The Elevator / glade and the trees to the left of Risk It (right of Floyd's) were the runs of the day. Still lots of snow off piste, but thinning out. On piste is still in great shape. Always great skiing with Dan and PC. Still stoked after a great day of skiing. Dan in Risk It trees Dan the Man kicking up some snow.
  17. 1000% this. Post of the day.
  18. Conditions were pretty freaking good given the rain, freeze thaw or whatever. The elevator wasnt bad at all. Although I skied the right side. It was bluebird and sunny for a good portion with comfortable temps. I actually loved today including the classy dinner with JFDan and Phillycore at Boulderview Tavern afterwards. Great day.
  19. They reached the 2k. Never been to Plattekill. How far is it from Belleayre? I'm assuming it's about the same distance from NEPA?
  20. Done.
  21. Squaw valley is reporting "neck deep" powder on their Facebook page.
  22. Isn't Blue Knob out that way as well? I'd throw that one on the list also if you're out there.
  23. I'm sorta biased because I teach there, but Jack Frost's terrain is perfect for learning as well as progressing and the layout separates the beginners from the tougher stuff on the east side. I honestly don't think you can go wrong.
