  1. I actually will miss not being at opening weekend at Jackson frost. BTW Just got the email and there's a chance east opens tomorrow. Ski vader for me.
  2. Can't be there this weekend. Every weekend thereafter for sure.
  3. Got your message. Downloaded and friended you. Can't wait to try it out.
  4. nothing like a little dusting to increase the stoke levels.
  5. Dan and myself practically had boulder park trail to ourselves each time we skied it. It was real easy to get ballistic speeds on both boulder park and love. Coverage is excellent.
  6. Jfskidan and myself should be there in a bit.
  7. Sweet. Soon there'll be love on the elevator...livin' it up when I'm goin' down.
  8. Snow in the western poconos right now.
  9. Nice. You should be ok at that time of year terrain wise. As far as the not to miss stuff goes. I would recommend starting off by riding the gondola to ski little WF - Excelsior is a great warm up run; head back up and work your way over to upper Northway, Essex and probably the best run off of little WF - Empire. If trees are your thing then bear left into the Cloudsplitter Glade which is steep and pretty tight and funnels into the High Country Glades. (Pray for snow!) Off of the Peak there isn't a boatload to choose from but what is there is more than sufficient. Skyward and the adjacent trees are hard to pass up. If cloudspin / Niagara are open they are a must as well. Definitely work your way to the bottom for the full 3100 vert but be sure to stop at Mid Mt and ride the Mountian Run lift (not sure if that's the official name of the lift) to ski Mt. Run which is like White Lightning on steroids. From my experience there, it's probably best to hit Lookout Mt. last. Lookout Below probably won't open if it's icy so if things soften up you may be in luck unless there's fresh snow, then you should be fine. LB is steep and narrow for about 900 vert. It's typically open later in the season. Another must ski run off of Lookout Mt. is the Sugar Valley Glades which are enormous (again pray for snow). Finish the day on the 3 mile long Wilmington Trail and you're good to go. I believe there are a few PASRs who ski WF alot (Zaldon, Moe etc) who could probably chime in a bit more. Have fun.
  10. I'm actually OK with this. They're a private entity and if they don't want smoking on their property they have the right to that. Another option would have been to just ban smoking in the liftline or on the lift and create a designated smoking area outside of the lodge. Either way, I could give a rats.
  11. All I got was a new helmet (Boeri - black). Will need goggles at some point. I'm quite the procrastinator as well.
  12. Ride Delaware you've been around here long enough to know what was gonna happen once you posted about the weather. Dig up one of Robert2's locker rants. Anyway it's way too early to panic. If it was 3 weeks from now that would be a different story.
  13. I freaking love this picture.
  14. My wife...staying at Squaw Valley (thanks to Phillycore who hooked us up with the lodging!)
  15. Tahoe = booked!
  16. Thanks Trackbiker. It's all relative in PA since we're pretty much all vertically challenged. That's why we travel to bigger Mts.
  17. Your lifetime of guilt free skiing is well earned When she sings "The shoop shoop song" just change the lyrics to "schuss schuss" and imagine yourself skiing. You'll be good.
  18. From JFBB.com "What's New... JFBB has got you covered outside and inside at our resorts this winter. Our focus this year has been to offer everyone something from the novice to the expert skier or rider. At Jack Frost Mountain there are no out of bounds, beginners can now experience fun terrain that in the past was only available for the intermediate to expert skiers and riders. There is a new glade riding area for beginners on skier’s right of Snow Flake. With our fleet of Super Pole Cats from top to bottom on Snow Flake slope this will guarantee that this beginner to novice glade area will have pristine coverage all winter long. There is a new glade park for the snowboarders and freeskiers as well - ONE Glade Park with wooden natural features located to the rider’s right off of ONE Park which features the J-Rod Shed. For the advanced skiers we have widened Challenge Slope and cleaned up the glade area on Challenge and East Mountain." I believe the One Park Glade was cleared out fully and should now ski top to bottom which would give us at least 2 top to bottom tree runs. Lots of focus on cleaning out the brush on the west side. Lets hope for a few 20 something inch storms like last season.
  19. Relax dude. It was a joke.
  20. Why can't mountains offer a married with children and bills pass for these prices?
  21. Unfortunately
  22. Lookout mt has to be the reason. That plus the fact that WF kicks ass. Kmart doesn't compare IMO
