This thread is just what the Doctor ordered (and further proof that I'm living in the wrong part of the Country. )

Always good to hear about these kinds of updates at the Mt. It would be nice if the trees in there are thinned out all the way down to the lift. That glade has always been pretty fun to ski but half way down, you'd have to ski out.

I would have to agree with this. I'm kind of torn here. I also get annoyed with some of the ridiculous stuff that gets posted on here. There's bickering and flame wars on every message board I've seen or been apart of but some of the stuff here takes the cake. I hate the fact that lots of people who once contributed to this place are now gone or rarely post. On the other hand, I've thought about not posting on PASR a time or two in the past, but looking back that would have been stupid. Where else can you find this many people who make Pocono ski areas their home Mts.? Not much of that on AZ, Epic or TGR. I have resigned myself to simply weeding though some of the nonsense to get to the valuable stuff (TR's, etc.). And there can be plenty of good reads, especially during ski season. I've also met and skied with a bunch of really cool people because of PASR. I've even met people that I now consider good friends solely because of PASR. And of course PASR days are always some of the funnest days of the season. Bottom line is, we need more of this... http://www.paskiandride.com/forums/topic/15314-jack-frost-2-27-10/ And less of this... http://www.paskiandride.com/forums/topic/14671-it-was-fun-while-it-lasted/

While I agree with your premise. I don't really think that the site is "killed", at least I hope not.

Nice! You gotta be a Sox fan.

Nice. It looks like Jay Peak is the place to be right now in the East. If only it wasn't 500 miles away from me I'd be there.
-
I hope you guys are taking plenty of pics at Jay.

Very cool. Your neighbors sound like cool peeps.

wow what a difference between the two places. nice TR.

i would guess 5 feet or more based on these pictures...It was pretty cool actually.

Today exceeded my expectations by far. I met up with Phillycore and JFSkiDan at 10am for my final turns (probably) of the season. Big Boulder has so much snow, everything from Mittl-Weg through Bunny's Elbow is open with plenty of coverage. The snow was semi soft in the morning getting softer by the minute which meant the twins were kicking up some serious spray. Also lots of fun to watch the folks hitting the jumps on Boulder Park. Great freaking day. Pics below... Phillycore PA Ridge Racer Phillycore Dan kicking up snow on his PEs

looks awesome...I really need a gopro

Definitely not boring to watch. I like how you sub titled which peak you were on. That gave me a nice feel for what the place (and different parts of the Mt.) looks like.

Sucks man...hope you get better. props for doing what you love to do still even after previous injuries. PASR Day at BB next weekend?

Just back from a nice morning at Camelback. I arrived at 8:45, headed in to get my pass (Thanks for the freebie CB!) and ran into Phillycore and Serch. After booting up and taking a run, I met up with PC and Serch at the lift and then Root and NASTAR Glen shortly after that. We took a few runs before meeting everyone else. The snow was as predicted...fast and pretty hard for the most part early on. There was a huge group of PASR's on the Mt. which was cool. It was nice meeting some new folks. Doug even busted out a freestyle rap at one point. It was captured on video but I'm not sure if it'll hit the web. Options were pretty limited since the East side was closed but lapping the front four (plus a few others) was definitely fun. The snow started to soften as the morning went on and temps rose and I headed out just after noon. Overall CB still has a lot of snow on what's open and their crew did a nice job. Not much else to say other than today was lots of fun.

this. BTW Asp is looking nice

I should be there. Can you leave CB early to get home in time? This may be the last day...come on bro, work your magic.

R2...A Jeff just made your point for you in one sentence. I dont know that paragraph after paragraph of calling people "nimrods" is going to help you get your point across or gain you any sympathy for what your angry about...just my opinion.

Wow...what did I miss at that pass holders party? I nominate this for TR of the century.

Today was a really great closing day at Jack Frost. I met up with JFSkiDan a little after 8. We started off with a really fast run down T Bolt. The snow was extremely fast and firm in the morning. We made a few runs down east and decided to pass on the elevator until things softened up. Shortly thereafter, we met up with Phillycore and Serch and we made a run down a bumped up Floyd's. C1er stopped by to say hello and we made our way to the Elevator then over to the challenge glade which was the run of the day. There's still lots of snow left in the trees all the way down. After a few more runs down exhibition and Thunderbolt, it was back over to East where I made my final Jack Frost run of the season, fittingly, on the Elevator which had a narrow path on the steepest section that is still skiable. I then had to bail around 10:30. Many thanks to JFBB for your hard work in bringing back the Elevator this season and thinning out the trees on various parts of the mountain. It was definitely much appreciated.

Forgot to hit up Rita's Isn't it free on the first day of spring?
-
Since it's a seasonal rental locker, aren't you supposed to empty it out at the end of the season? I don't see what the issue is.

Glad I listened. I'm pretty sure Dan is too.
