3 MORE DAYS...stoked for you man.

The hobaks looks like they'd have my legs screaming.

PC as you know there is no other way to ski Vader other than BALLER style. I wish our wipeouts were caught on camera today. I missed yours (jfskidan where were you with the camera) and I have no idea how I recovered from mine...which I thought was a certain yardsale courtesy of Vader; but I miraculously ended up back on my skis. PC have fun in Tahoe. We'll see you next month.

You can always make the run longer by skiing the Elevator Glade and right on down to the Elevator without stopping in between.
-
You're right. We need some video of the Elevator (Thanks to JFSkiDan for his camera skills). Here I am making my way down it a few weeks ago - not my best form http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxDTohLFMgM

PC I'm excited for you man!! Ski some powder for the JF crew!
-
You do know that I was kidding when I said 90 mph right?
-
Yeah it flattens out at the bottom and it's smooth. I wouldn't straight run it. You may be doing 90 mph by the time you get to the bottom.

Hey all, Just back from a wonderful afternoon session at Jackson Frost. I skied with my Brother who was out on the snow for the first time in two years. We pulled up to the lot under blue skies and sunshine. We decided to make our first run down Lehigh then over to Exhibition to warm up. The snow was the famous JFBB Packed Powder / cold smoke - excellent. We headed over through the gateway to East Mt and up the East Mt Lift for a Elevator Glade to Elevator Combo. My Brother was impressed with how steep Vader is. He stayed out of the Elevator Glade since he was a bit rusty but skied Vader successfully, which BTW is very skiable...the edges had no problem on it for the most part. The right (skier's right), not as steep side, of the Elevator has bumps forming and the steeper left side is flat for the most part - definitely more challenging if you enter it from the left side. We moved on to the Challenge glade which is a leg burner if you make the short turns through the bumps / trees. We headed back over to East Mt for a run on Floyd's and back to the Elevator / E-Glade until almost closing time. Floyd's is really good right now. Overall it was another great day at JFBB. Elevator Glade.. Elevator from the top...can't see the bottom! Challenge Glade... The sun sets on the Elevator...Another Great day.

-
I will definitely be at JFBB tomorrow.
-
honest opinion - when should I ski?
RidgeRacer replied to krs1pitt's topic in Jack Frost & Big Boulder
I say both but if you have to choose one I'd say this weekend...with some fresh snow and a decent weekend on tap you cant go wrong. Plus isnt Glen Plake in the house on Sunday...that alone should decide it for you. -
This ^ - Post up a TR
-
Nice Robert...looking forward to your daily reports.
-
nice TRs gentlemen. Despite the cold, Conditions were really really nice.
-
You dont necessarily have to huck it. Theres a very narrow path in between the two cliffs which you can slide down. The tricky part about going that way is that you need to make a quick left turn once down to avoid a tree. lol.

Dan checking out his tracks on Elevator... Challenge Glade Dan on Vader
