Wow...it looks like the offer to other mt. pass holders is working. Right now I'm still looking at a mid week only to JFBB
  2. $15 lift tickets....who's going?
  3. If you're intereted... http://www.paskiandride.com/forums/index.p...q=sc&cat=12
  4. Perfect spring skiing day today...warm temps, blue skies and mashed potatoes / corn. Today was a lot of fun. I did about 22 runs all over the Mt but Cliffhanger was great today...yes there was lots of ice on it but I was getting good speed and getting air off the bottom of the run which was fun. The snow's getting sketchy in spots especially on Nile Mile and the crossover trails like julies Ceaser etc. but still lots of coverage for the most part. Get out there while you can.

Gotta love the HSQ's...Thanks for the TR ....I'll be out there tomorrow.

    Is it...

I like Elk more than CB....but for $40 more plus the extra gas it may not be worth it. A discount would have been nice.

    Is it...

Seriously...any word on Elk discounts this week. I didn't see anything on the site and I want to possibly head up this week but I dont think I want to shell out $40.
  8. Are you leaving Jack Frost? Did you at least get the cheese fries? It's really sad that they're closed...and what's really annoyng is that it's about 28 degress outside right now. Bigdaddyk are you going to be at CB all next week? I should be there tues, wed and maybe Thurs. I want to throw a day at Elk in there if I can.
  9. TR for 3-21-08... Well I'm back from my last day of the season at Jack Frost. I was a little sad riding the East Mt. lift today knowing that it would be the last time for 7 or 8 months. They did lose a lot of snow over the past week but they could easily go another week especially with the forecast but that's a discussion for another thread... I pulled up into the lot around 9:50am to sunny skies and fairly strong winds. I booted up, got my ticket and hit the snow. The snow was a smooth groomed granular surface, fast and fun to carve....really nice shape for this time of year. I hit Thunderbolt and noticed right away that the wind would be a factor as it slowed me down a good bit. Headed over to East and did a number of laps on River Shot and a few on Floyds. Floyds once again was ice free...a rarity. While riding the East Mt lift I relived a bunch of good memories from this season. After spending a good amt of time on East Mt I rode the lift one final time then hit Challenge for a run then Thunderbolt 2 or 3 more times before sadly calling it a day. The place was fairly busy with a good amont of rippers on the hill. And again there was plenty of snow. I don't think another week would kill them but oh well. Thank you Jack Frost for excellent conditions this season, great grooming...and letting us ski all over the mountain.
  10. looks like I'll be at CB next week...that is if they're still doing the free pass thing.
  11. Thanks for the condition report...Couldn't make it today will be there tomorrow early.
  12. I'll be there tomorrow morning early (as in 9:30ish) for what will likely be my last day of the season at Jack Frost (can't get there Sat or Sunday...will probably be at Boulder Sat night). Anyone else gonna be at Frost tomm to celebrate the last mid-week ski day at Frost for the season?
  13. I wasn't big on the quarter share thing. I wouldn't mind owning one outright and living in it, besides even in the offseason there's plenty to do in the area. Jim Thorpe and the Lehigh Gorge are 20 minutes away and the App. trail is just up the mountain.
  14. Thanks for the heads up Toast...IDK with no spring fling coupon, I'll suck it up for the day. Not happy about it though.
  15. What's up with those condos? I remember they had those flyers all over the lodges saying the condos and all this other stuff was coming. Is that still happening?
  16. damn...CB 's closed as well. It's not even raining that hard out and it looks like it's clearing too...weak.
  17. Nice TR toast...like the pics especially the first one.
  18. What??? I had fully planned on skiing tommorrow rain or shine. I wonder if CB will be open
  19. Wish I could but I'm visiting family for Easter.
  20. It turns my stomach to think how all of that snow will probably go to waste...what makes matters worse is that it may actually snow Tuesday night too.
  21. uhh..you were lapping East Mt. @ 12:30 ...had I known I would have looked for you. We must have crossed paths all day long.
  22. Still too early
  23. Hey all...just back from an absolutely perfect day at JF...no crowds, blue sky and fast snow. Today might rank up there as one of my better late March days ever. Anyway on to the TR. I got to the lot around 11pm, booted up and hit Thunderbolt. The quad was closed so I rode the East Mt lift all day. The snow when I got there was a fast and smooth packed / groomed granular surface although the wind was blowing uphill which slowed me down a bit. Made my way over to East to do laps on Floyds and River Shot. Floyds was the best it's been since early in the season...not one patch of ice on the trail which is unusual for Floyd's. Next I checked out the Elevator which was extremely fun to ski today and still has a ton of snow in it. I ended up skiing the Lightning / River Shot / Elevator / back onto River Shot combo a number of times today. The only problem with that was fighting the thorn bushes when making my way back onto River Shot The wind also died down which meant it was easier to get speed as the day went on. I made my way over to Challenege and skied that once but I was having to much fun on East today and stayed there pretty much the rest of the day. I didn't ski anything west of Thunderbolt today. It's extremely sad to think that they will be closing on Sunday with the amount and quality of snow thats left on that hill. I may go into JF withdrawl after Sunday. But it is what it is I guess. Hopefully I'll grab 2 or 3 more days at Frost before they close for the season. Still lots of snow on East Mt...
  24. Bellayre has $15 lit tix on 4-11. Should still be good at that time. I'm off to Frost in a few minutes I'll let you all know how it is.
  25. I just saw that...kinda knew it was coming but still kinda bummed to see it official on the site.
