They can attempt to refresh what they are losing now. The fog is thick at the moment, sun coming out and high of 60. I may head out later for a spring RAW

Ski2 I'll add that I find it extremely admirable and respect that you choose to share your love for skiing with your kids on your way. That's awesome and trust me I get that completely as someone who's share those experiences with their kid. What's lacking is that the mutual feeling of respect for how others choose to enjoy the sport and where they choose to do it at.

I honestly don't even know why I'm typing this as it's like talking to a wall however here goes...therein (your post above) lies the point everyone is trying to make. Absolutely no one is saying Blue...is the Rockies or even NE. Absolutely not one single soul says or will say that. We all spend $$, going to bigger and better resorts each year because of that fact. But it's our home hill however (that just so happens to have a few very nicely cut trails, sufficiently long runs for the area and a very powerful snowmaking system) that folks find joy in skiing; and it's filled with lots of good people who enjoy hanging out with one another. You can't put a price on that is the point.

I'm gonna call BS there. A few years back myself, @JFskiDan @Barb @phillycore @C1erArt etc were all JFBB pass holders. @Schif and a few others were Montage pass holders. @rummy is our Elk guy and guess what? We got on just fine with everyone else in the forum. We didn't poke fun at Blue, Pennsylvania skiing in general (like you do), tailgating or anything like that. And vice versa. Folks were cool both ways. At times we all skied together either at Blue, fost or Montage and had a great time hanging out. Some of the funnest memories at Frost (of which there were many) were the PASR days (the 2 feet those days didn't hurt either) so no it's not "agreeing with everyone else" or "making it all about Blue". It's about not being on your high horse or being condescending, especially from someone who would be first in line to buy a pass at Blue if it fit their budget.

I try to keep it simple. I'm fortunate enough to live near a variety of areas but choose blue because it's what I prefer over anything else in the area. When I go out west lately I go to Arizona and ski Snowbowl because that's where my kid is. Easy peasy. I enjoy both places immensely so it works for me. Done.

But that means you're skiing at camelback. Smh at buying a SP pass based on pricing as opposed to what mountain one actually prefers to ski at.

I'm not pulling the trigger just yet. I want to wait and see if blue becomes iconic first. You never know.

We know. Too expensive and you aren't buying one. You can see yourself out of this thread now. I'm sure there will be a Mega Indy epic iconic super saver cost calculation thread for you to spam.

60 with bright sunshine on the mountain currently. It's beautiful outside, which sucks of course.

Presidents’ Day 2/20/23…pretty good

Conditions were decent. Probably better than yesterday, but today more than yesterday you could see that it's getting thinner and browner in places. Inversion fog didn't help early on. Overall fun skiing this morning. -
I read 35 inches s between now and the end of the week

First few runs were above average then things seemed to sugar out a bit. Overall it was ok today condition wise but a fun day today none the less. I wasn't there but it sounds like it was better on Saturday The crowds really seemed to roll in around 9:30. Thanks to @enjoralasfor the delicious variety of pork and sausages. Lots of peeps in the house.

Could be why the pass may be going way up next season. They'll advertise it as "includes free parking". -
I heard the Indy pass is going up next year to $999. I'm just the messenger. Sorry ski2.

You actually read it?

Eight Hundy? Dang...should held off on putting that new flooring down in the house.

They just need to get through next week $$$ wise. After that it's all downhill. Can't see us skiing many days at blue in in March. On wed the snow at the base near the quad was so thin you could see grass. NMDW had holes as did lower paradise. Who even knows if they'll drop a pass early and advertise "ski the rest of this season and all of next" because there may not be much of a "this season" left.
