  1. Ok maybe I was wrong about the sun... It's poking through. Didn't know u could load before 9am but here I am. May even get a bonus run in before the clock strikes 9. Woohoo. This morning is like my 10th favorite Pearl jam song. Corduroy
  2. I guess they want to see how many they sell through the 29th. If they don't sell many then perhaps they'll call it this weekend. I assume if people are buying up the tickets for next week now then they'll remain open...tell your friends and family!
  3. Riding the ski shuttle as my wife needs the car to check out the ski jumping practice (if it's not cancelled). Looking like a groomer day today. Winds are non existent...at least in town. Inch fell overnight. Temps hovering around freezing with overcast skies...no sun today. Today would be a great day for Wilmington trail laps but with lookout mountain closed we're living in the past skiing what WF was 15 years ago. The locals are stoked about bluebird skies and spring skiing later this week. I don't blame them. Yesterday however may be tough to be beat we'll see
  4. Cavatelli Bolagnese. Cafe Rustica
  5. This was for dinner.
  6. Great view of a good chunk of the high peaks from the tall ski jump. And some other Olympic related stuff
  7. 1980 net and board used in the games
  8. Wrapping up with a run down mountain run (at legacy lodge now) Legs are done. Gonna see if there's time to visit the ski jumping complex.
  9. My legs are screaming plowing through it. Not sure how much I got left in the tank tbh and yeah people are finding the spots now and icy patches are creeping through. Riding the gondi now. I need a groomer
  10. Skipping lunch. Too good out here. Plus the hotel breakfast was really filling. Upper cloud spin is roped off and for good reason. Need to ski a few hundred down skyward and then go right to cut across into lower cloud spin which is wonderful
  11. Very much so saltman. Back on the face lift to the summit quad for more Cloudspin goodness. All of my runs today have been top to bottom... No stopping and riding back to half way.
  12. Typing this from cloud spin his legs are burning it is absolutely glorious. Two ski patroler followed me and I thought I was going to get in trouble. Meanwhile they just wanted to enjoy fresh powder. I forgot I wasn't at Blue for a second there. Got almost knee deep on one spot. What a day
  13. The summit is where it's at today...lower skyward particularly is a sea of chopped pow. It's all this (pic) Cloudspin is closed from the top but I'm going to see if I can cutover.
  14. Another sick day here at WF. Stash city. Headed back to the summit
  15. Just did a full 32 hundy summit is open for business... upper skyward is a straight up test... It's icy but looks are deceiving if you're you're willing to brave it you're rewarded with shin deep poe fo sho in spots. The wind has made for glorious conditions just below the summit!!. Riding the gondi now
  16. No gondola yet. Riding the face. Gondola line is too longe but there's no one at the facelift. Conditions are stellar. Lots of Western groomer type cord to be had. Didn't ski the summit yet
  17. Nothing major in terms of new snow...a dusting for the most part. According to the trail map no lookout lift, summit is open but no cloudspin (yet) no empire on LWF (yet). Let's see how it shakes out. Hoping the winds are tame although it looks to be blowing hard from the room here in town. sun supposed to come out later this morning.
  18. Crowded but no reservation needed. They had a table opening up when we got there. Definitely busy in town...I saw a bunch of guys wearing team Switzerland jackets walking around. Seems like there are events going on somewhere... Assuming hockey
  19. Don't see any reason why I can't do Sunday. I can bring desserts complete with PASR phrases and or acronyms written on them
  20. Of course. Whiteface is saying they got 10 inches in the past 24 hrs. Snowing lightly now in town... Supposed to be an inch here so hopefully more in the mountain. Tomorrow could be really good.
  21. Speed skating oval was pretty busy for a Sunday night
  22. Loaded burnt ends and Mac and cheese from the world famous Smoke signals
  23. I forget...maldena rest stop or something? Had a Micky D's, deli and a coffee joint. I got a Panini, coffee and a strawberry strudel. Arrived in Lake P. My son's mind was blown when he saw the high peaks and the ski jumps
  24. En route to Lake Placid. Currently at a rest stop in the skillz. Trying to figure out dinner tonight... probably smoke signals. LFG
