  1. No I'm flying home sir
  2. I'll finish up the thread on a positive note...despite the fact that I need to walk a few blocks to DD for coffee now. Anyway... Great time out here. I'd highly recommend Flagstaff for any PASR interested in skiing Arizona Snowbowl and seeing that giant canyon thing right up the road as well (everyone should see it once right? Or 50000x...it never gets old). Speaking of, you can see the GC from the top of Snowbowl which I thought was a wives tale. As for the skiing, snowbowl is great. It's not as big as the big dawgs further north but damn...what's there is really fun. I really want to ski the stuff up in the bowl when it's open...but even without it, it's great. Nice steeps, a ton of gladed terrain, cruisers, great snow (western groomers etc)...you name it. It's also a straight vert type of mountain. Grab your 2500 or whatever with every run as opposed to pod skiing bullshit which I'm not a fan of...which means, yes, I prefer Arizona Snowbowl to Steamboat (F you Ski magazine). Like the terminator....I'll be back, probably next year and I can't wait! Probably skip the GC and do 3 ski days next time. Either way your in heaven so all good.
  3. Will do.
  4. Place I'm at is kinda lame. $12 to park...a couple bucks for a shitty throw away toothbrush...fine. I'm not gonna get mad. But the coffee situation is complete trash and the reason I won't stay here again. They give you an in room Kuereg which is great but stashed in between 2 $5 bottles of water that they force you to open in order to make the coffee. But what set me over the edge is that they give you three k cups...1 is regular and 2 are decaf. They now full well that no one's drinking fucking decaf so you're forced to purchase more regular. WJW. 1 star review incoming. OTH Shout out to the Comfort Inn in Flagstaff which is awesome.... unlimited coffee, full breakfast, fireplace, ski lodge feel, clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly peeps.
  5. Haven't been to Blue in a hot minute. Sounds like it's gonna look a lot different than last time I was there...stoked for that, probably Wednesday RAW. Looking forward to skiing Tom Petty.
  6. When you're right, you're right Salty
  7. Yes sir.
  8. It's was cold here this morning...mid 20s. High in the 40s. We'll be in Phoenix later today.
  9. What a morning....one for the books and probably one that I wont forget... sitting on the edge of the grand canyon, by myself for most of it, watching the sun rise. Surreal
  10. Beyond burger and salad
  11. Was only about a 45 minute wait. Photo from earlier of some random dude. Can't want for the sunrise tomorrow
  12. South rim I just did a time lapse sunset video on my phone... curious to see how that turned out. Have plenty of time...1 hr 20 min wait time for the Bright Angel restaurant
  13. Current locale
  14. Trail called flat iron which has to be the steepest trail in bounds. Really fun
  15. This was really fun. It's not marked on the map but a lot of people were skiing it
  16. 9am. Just stopped at the grille for lunch. Party atmosphere out here. DJ and all.
  17. My daughter on upper ridge and ski patrol shack
  18. Commence day 2... Blue bird yet again 35 degrees, sunny!! Bit cooler than yesterday.
  19. I have a ton of them...I will bring one for you next time I'm at Blue.
  20. Great ski day! Snowbowl was more than I ever expected. Great snow, terrain and weather. I'd be overjoyed to call it my home mountain if I were lucky enough at some point in the future. The lifts are great too. Grand canyon express and the Arizona gondola (just installed this year) boot you up quick. Only negatives are the parking sucks. Also snowbowl road is a 7 mile trek to the base kinda sucks too. The amount of traffic going in and coming out this evening was crazy. It has to be a nightmare when it snows. Also the lodges need help bad. They're pretty dated. The food at the grill was great though. Few more pics...lower bowl just below the hike to terrain up top and a steep little gully that I found.
  21. Yes it's her first time skiing out west. Town is about 20 minutes away. Taking one last ride up the grand canyon express for today then figuring out where to eat
  22. Ran back into town to get my daughter who didn't want to get up this morning. Chili dog for lunch and Back out to close up shop. It's much busier now. I think all of Phoenix descended on snowbowl
  23. Yes. Trail called blackjack. This place is legit AF. I absolutely love it here. Love it. Packed pow. Blue bird. Sun trees steeps. It's all here
  24. Yooooo this place is fuckin awesome!!!!!! More to come
