I agree. A pass is supposed to get you direct to slope acces right...lol. With the crowds being what they were last night why hell would they pull the plug on the quad at 7:30?? I left at 6 because I didn't feel like waiting anymore with both open.. I can't even imagine what closing the quad at 730 did...well kinda since Johnny Law mentioned the lines essentially became a McDonald's drive thru.

I was thinking about this as I was trudging through the mud on my way out tonight. If blue wants to charge the highest prices in the area, i think it puts them under a microscope. For example people may now start to question things. "will they ever put lights / snowmaking on coming soon?" "Why are my boots caked in mud simply because I walked to my car"? "Why did the meteor crater sized pot holes f up my tires. For $600 I shouldn't have to deal with that." "Why does this lift keep stopping"? "Why can't I ski razors ever...I pay $600 but the race team gets preferential treatment". In other words they may need to step up their game in certain areas now since they're the big dog now as a far as prices go. At montage for $349 that mud on my boots annoys me a lot less than when it happens at blue for $600.

I'll bet they grab some blue passholders.

I should've waited

Crowds are getting silly even at the dubb. Back at the quad where it's madness. I'm not even touching the 6 pack line. Time to order franks pizz and peace out.

I got tickets to a show in July that was rescheduled from last year. We'll see if that happens

Not at all bad at the double. Sleepy hollow to Main is where it's at
-
Not thrilled to pay almost 2 hundy more but it is what it is. Hopefully it'll trend down again in the future.

Razors is closed for racing. I'm headed to the double due to crowds. Snow is perfect spring like.
-
Spring has definitely sprung and I'm not hating it. It's a beautiful day out here. Conditions are great. The only thing I'm hating right now are the lift lines

During one of these recent storms I actually had an in depth conversation with my wife about titty sparkles...what they are and why they're called titty sparkles.
-
They aren't skis either

Smart Park all day every day.

My advice ..reply and tell them that you're a monroe county resident who drives to Carbon for real skiing.
-
Blue will 100% undercut them.

Colorado Road Trip - Telluride, Silverton, Crested Butte, Aspen
RidgeRacer replied to AtomicSkier's topic in Other Mountains
I want to say the stuff on the other side, off the t bar, the open face stuff, maybe had more pitch? I could be wrong though. Rambo looked pretty fucking steep too. Has that been open? We never got up to Teocali Bowl either which is a big reason why I need to get back there. I think Dan probably thought riding t bar was the most extreme thing we did that trip 😆 -
Wasn't too too heavy up here. Not at all Wasatch blower but definitely not too wet either. Light enough to make a sweet snow blower arch 15 maybe 20 feet wide. The neighbors were jelly.

Same. Headed out to run the snow blower in a few.

Let's be honest a $1000 is extreme obviously and isn't happening to Toasts point. However Blue has clearly taken the quantity approach as it pertains to pass pricing....price it as low as possible early season and sell as many of these mofos as we possibly can. It's worked...clearly. question is do they price a little higher moving forward with the knowledge that less people will purchase allowing for the higher price to perhaps offset the quantity sold? If so does that result in less of a shit show? I don't know the answer to that but probably not. Would I want to pay a G for a pass? Of course not. Not unless I absolutely knew it would cut down on crowds. If it did I would; but that ain't happening...again to Toasts point. If people are willing to pay $100 for a 4 hour night sesh I'm convinced they'll pay anything. Salty your question is a good one. However I won't respond online knowing that Blue may be reading this. Haha.

WL trees look perfectly spaced out.

I'm kinda there. I'd consider the extra $500 a surcharge for not having to wait in long lines. Would be worth it.

According to this we're at 37 inches ytd. That seems low but historically they're accurate. Last year we logged a whopping 6 inches. https://www.onthesnow.com/pennsylvania/blue-mountain-ski-area/historical-snowfall.html?y=0&q=snow

Holy shit!
