Wow, I heard my ears ringing. Yeah, I bit the bullet and moved west to take my ski bum status to the pro level. I AM living in NW Reno, much cheaper than the CA side and the commute isn't that bad to the shop in Truckee or the areas. I Start Haus is my new shop of employment. They got close to 30" the first storm when Blue only got 10 or so. It is just 3 hours from Exton. Great glades and an awesome bump run in Extrovert.

Just step up to Kastles.

It was killer. BEst skiing in PA when there is natural snow. Skied everything. Ton's of fun with no crowds, other than a lift going down for 1/2 hour, no lines more than 5 min.

Last year was great for us too. We hit some killer shots off of Thunder, Saratoga Bowl and Hobacks. I am sure there are many nooks and crannies we can show each other, the place is awesome. Hit Bubba and DOG twice and both ties were great.

Glad you guys are enjoying it. The Kastles do ski quite sweetly, I will be rocking the MX88 178 when I am out there next week. I have skied close to 70 different skis over the past season and they are the highest quality ski that I strapped my boots into.

If I didn't trade my son's LSW in, I would have you do the 90K.

Granted I was in the same Flexon for 20 years (replaced the shells 4 times and the liners 3 times, but the same Flexons ), but the Krypton is a Flexon on steroids, IMHO it is a better boot, laterally it is stiffer. It is almost worth going to the Krypton so you don't have to deal with that antiquated bail system. Yeah the same, they make a damn sweet ski.

Atomic Gotamas? For those getting Afterbangs...They are damn sweet skis, one of the best in that price range. Very cool construction too.

Thats always a good way to end a day of mountain biking (and skiing). If they open weekends, I think they will pull quite a few people from Mountain Creek and I know I will be back..with Finndog in tow.
