I am far from serious DH'er and I had a lot of fun. I hope Blue start being open weekends, I will be back if they are.
-
I had a great time up there. Kudos to all who designed the trails, you are doing a great job!
-
Wasn't a drop of rain.
-
Thinking about heading up. If so, i will be in red/tan Oakley Shirt and red Oakley shorts riding a gray Trek Liquid.
-
Bear Creak lift tickers will be $25.00 a day for the rest of the season. Enjoy the sunny days and a discount!

3/9/09...Shout out to ski patroller Rob Cook!
Philpug replied to AtomicSkier's topic in Blue Mountain
I have complained about Ski Patrol at Blue for 10+ years, SP is #65 on my list of why Blue sucks. I don't think it is Rob, it is the system there, it sucks. it comes from upper management down. -
I will raise your blades with some Factory Pilots, retro day at Gapril Phools Day BumpPhest at Kton Oh and Zeal Goggles are the bomb.
-
This will now be a "business" trip for me.
-
I will be heading west for not one..not two but three weeks straight of skiing! Starting off in Utahhhh at Solitude for 5 days, then hitting Snowbird and Snowbasin. I will then head up to Sun Valley, Jackson Hole and Targhee, From there a week in Steamboat. Should be a rocking trip!
-
Will be in Steamboat for the end of your week.
-
Hitting there in March. I have a 3 week western tour planned.
-
Read post #3. She doesn't want to travel 6 hours let alone the 8+ to Stowe, It will take 8 for her w/ 2 kids in the car and stops.

Okemo is a fun mountain, not overly hard, but a fun mountain. The woods are fun, Loose Spruce, Forest Bump and Super Nova. If you get a dump or want to avoid crowds, head down to Magic, about 15 miles south, MRG of Southern VT.
-
Yes it can. Stratton is pretty centrally located, you have there, Bromley, Magic, Mt. Snow and Okemo all w/in 30 minutes. But it will be a zoo during the "Open", if the place is free, stay there and ski other places.
-
I wouldn't base your whole decision on having ONE free lift ticket. Stratton is a big wide open mountain with very little "challenging" terrain. I would also personally avoid it during the US Open week, it will be packed. Huntah is clser, but more a 1-2 day mountain with not much to do. I would suggest Okemo, Mt. Snow or even Killington, all have a lot to do in the area and a good amount of slopeside units. I see you have been to BB 8 times this year, do you have a pass? If so, I think PEak Resorts, BB owner has some areas in VT, Mt Snow, and your pass might give you a discount there.

heading back up for my 4th weekend in a row. Doing 4,000 miles on the car in one month.
-
Skied Magic and Okemo over the weekend. Epic conditions. If you get a chance to ski Magic in its glory, do so. It is in the same class as MRG w/o the 45 min weekend lines for the single.

FT's are fine...Kryptons are better. Love my IL Moro's.
-
It was a good day, might hit some of the JF demo days. They do a very good job.
-
Just got home. A pretty good day on the snow. JFBB is a class act and blow some very good snow. Phillywhipped, you missed a good day. Started to get crowded so Finn and I took off.
-
Blue Subaru jacket w/ jeans. Said equipment above. Might be on some Elan Magfire 10's depending on conditions. Also, this is one of the worst travel days of the year...lets be careful out there!
-
And what about the Pat's game at 8? You going to miss that???? The could....loose? What??? You say they are playing the Eagles? Well, it will be a nice night to ski.
-
I haven't decided what I am wearing yet, other than it will be makeshift. All my ski clothing is in VT. I know for sure that I will be sporting my slime green Kryptons and Blizzard Mag SL skis. I could be going "gaper" and be wearing jeans.

one word for you....Fios. It's awesome.
