  1. Kton was OK. Not as crowded as it could be, but still crowded.
  2. Absolutely nothing is wrong with them other than me wanting a longer ski. I prefer skiing my 181 Titans and I will prolly be switching over to Elan once Dalbello takes over completely.
  3. This years top pick of a ski. These have seen 3 days of snow. a couple of little marks on the bases but nothing a tune won't fix. The bindings are last years lighter Neox412 that I took off my old M11's. $550.00
  4. Pretty good conditions. We skied from 9-1.
  5. I will be there Sunday to get my wife a couple of runs after her ACL reconstruction and before our clinics at Stowe next week. I will be in a Red SOS jacket/grey pants/Grey Giro Fuse. Lime green Kryptons on me feet and probably Metron M11 B5's.
  6. Mad River Glen.
  7. I remember at Kton last year, the guy scanning season passes was so slow there were actually chairs going up empty because he was so inept.
  8. Talk about turning checkers into chess.
  9. Flawed. I have in my quiver. Atomic, K2, Volant, Blizzard and Goode.
  10. You have to go to a window to get a ticket? Yeah, thats stupid.
  11. I have a pair of Goode Vision 96's on the way too.
  12. ASC does that too. it is a PITA. but they can track where and what lists your ride. I am hoping it is so, they can market to me with bonuses that are better targeted.

    New Skis Please

Metron 10, real nice all mountain ski. Carves, floats, Holds ice, does it all.
  14. Any idea what trails they will be opening with? We will be heading up Sunday AM to get my wife some snow time before a weekend clinic at Stowe next week. She had her ACL blown out at the end of the season last year.
  15. Never mind...My wife just wants to head up to Frost. So we will get some turns in there for Sunday AM.
  16. Hmmm. Depending on what my wife wants, we might do Frost vs. going to Hunter on Sunday.
  17. Anyone heading up next weekend for the demos? I am gonna try for Sunday.

Other commitments for the past and next two weeks. Will be at Stowe the 15-17 then at Kton over Xmas and New Years weekends. Three weekends in a row driving to VT will be enough for me. If I am to add a 4th, it will be in January .

This week is going to be marginal, it has been so warm now, then the temps will drop straight down on Friday, wait a week, it will be much better.
  21. Ah, Alpine. Skied there in the late 70's early 80's when it was Timber Hill, 2 T-Bars and a Poma. Never much of a mountain, but a grass roots type place that helps grow the industry. The kind of lttle area that the instuctors, patrollers all stood around and directed the kids on how to make jumps with hay-bails and made sure that they were out of the way and had proer landings.
  22. The Metron M10 is a great choice. b4 construction, so it will hold well on the Pocono Packed Powder (See:ice), a sidecut in the low teens so it will make some nice carved turns yest can be modulated into longer turns. A turned up tail so you could bring it into teh park, but htis is its weakest trait. You can find htese in a 172 pretty readily on Ebay. The 124/74/112 ( think thats what they are, going from memory), other than the new m11 B5, are the most versatile dimensions of the Metron line. The Nordica Enforcers would be another fine choice as is the Volkl AC3
  23. Hoping to be at the K before Thanksgiving. I am planning at lease 12 trips to K this season.
  24. Ahhh, teh finer things in life. I switched to Dalbello 2 years ago with the introduction of the Krypton. I haven't looked back.
  25. And I will stay with Dalbello and my blizzards and Atomics and K2's...this season
