well, ive pretty much lost all faith. stopped caring once again. they lift the invert ban - sweet! the race team thinks the jumps are too big - they make them smaller. since when does the race teamn have any say in the parks, and since when does park crew not have a say in race events or courses. i think the gates are too close and should be different colors.

easton is blowing up. too many god damn suburbs

gape city too. any trail work you do is gonna interfere with the mtb trails if you plan on expanding that too. blue is a terrible mountain for layouts that you need.

i suppose itll be good to earn your turns at a mountain you pay to ski at lol if blue closes im way down to hike it. or lap it with a car haha. i dont have a pass though

and there are really good riders at blue. i was there yesterday and saw every regular local crew shreddin - skiers and boarders. watching them hit stuff seeing what they were doing. they SHRED blues parks to the max everyday. they need and are ready for bigger stuff. im really stoked to see what can come out of sloth and skittles if we get a park thats above par.

thats some dope info steve. great idea with just cuttin new shit out on sidewinder. i was think yesterday about cuttin out straight down off sidewinder. right where the cbowrainvagina pos is turn right - where all the old/new rails are at. just cut a straight path down that way and itll intersect with the boarder x stuff. great grade for jumps.

keystone has a 42 inch base right now, so that sucks haha. thats the only thing keeping me going - knowing PA is destroying the #2 park in snowfall totals. but its still the #2 park... ive been skiing by myself alot too which blows but is also cool. i got new headphones so i cant hear SHIT and just bump. feeling G as shit ~rollin~ through the park. thats fun still no matter where you are.

for real. i dont even want to ski anymore. its like going to a skatepark or day care. not a mountain. i pretty much have no desire to learn any new tricks here, and im not stoked on these storms at all except for urbans i was never able to hit. thats cool, but <1000 vert is stupid. i could go hike around here and ski better terrain.

how does cb deal with reservations? do they have anything you can reserve anyway? no hotels or anything like that. im not really sure. but seems like reservations are dumb for anything cb related.

its the snowpocalypse you know. at least CB will still be there after all this snow. allentown might not even exist anymore. easton is still kicking, bethelhem is getting worse, i fear the future of snow.

thats the point ttmethod, now youre on track haha. sidewinder doesnt allow what you want. everyone knows this already and thats what we are trying to improve on as a community at blue. that trail is really only good for 2medium sized jumps. 2 and 3 are fine right now. 1 is dumb. and i highly doubt CB has anything close to the jumps blue has. as far as size and construction. Rhodo is a terrible trail for jumps haha. and by the way, no one ever said you couldnt spin all 3 at blue. i do and have. but theres no point because the jumps arent at par except 2 and 3 - even that is only sometimes.

they pick 1 or two because theres no point to hit all 3 unless youre in a comp where you have to. toast skis well, he knows what hes doing. usually it goes 1, 2, spin 3. number one sucks. two is a legit setup for 3 and 3 is the jump everyone spins/hits that knows what theyre doing. really - if you rode park and could do all the things you complain other people cant, youd know this

i can barely hit the sweet spot on all 3 in a row haha. over or under is the way it goes usually goes back to what i was saying about progression and build of features.

ttmethod, if you owned a mountain and the only feedback you got were from people like you describe would you try and listen to them? take their ideas into account? or say fuck it you dont know what youre talking about, i dont want their business and dont care what they think. that would be the end of your mountain for that 90 percentile of people. which would ultimately be the end of the mountain all together. thats why barb needs some kind of direction. rice is head of the parks and he really is doing nothing to make barb realize what she needs to do for a succesful park. no offense rice, but for real. when keith was working there he at least tried to make an effort with management.

exactly. i really feel like sidewinder is a fine trail for a park. its what we got at the moment anyway. they just dont know how to lay it out according to the type of trail.

its all the feedback blue gets though. people who dont ride it. thats why blue has a serious misconception of what should actually be done to improve things. but again, all the feedback comes from gapers who are trying to change things they cant even do, like you said. its just the way it is. and i havent met barb, but from what everyone talks about her - she seems like she has the final word in what goes down - just doesnt know what to do and is getting so many issues brought up from people. overwhelmed maybe? seems like we need to convince her to do things, not tell her.

and ttmethod, if you dont like the content of this site start posting more relevant shit instead of trying to fight with everyone. people have fun on this site, joke around, ski together, talk about issues on their respective mountain... all you do is complain about everyone on it.

look, they need a new trail or need to do some SERIOUS tree/grade work on trails that already exist. but if youre gonna do that much work you might as well just make a new trail. when they made the hill they definitely were not thinking about parks its obvious. its just not a place that has a good spot for a full scale park. and now its hurting the forward progress of a dope park system
