i thought i would let everyone know... The Temple University snowboard club will be going to whistler this winter for 1 week. They will take a bus up and back. The price is gonna be in the one thousand dollar range, which might include lift. i dont know i havent talked to the director lately. only a select few can go (that arent already in the club) because of limited seats, but there is a chance if we get enough people we can get more buses. so far theres only one bus. im not sure which hotel we're staying in yet. skiers are allowed to go but i just made that up, so far im the only skier "in" the club

yea sure, teach a 9 year old how to do backflips. he will land on his neck and the mountain will get sued by his/her parents. then the teacher will get fired.

all this talk about new management and all these new changes that should happen got me thinkin about my very LAST experience at CB. i dont remember what weekend (friday) it was but it was when all the NY schools had like a week vacation. CB took pretty much two weekends for a holiday because schools in NY had off. I went up not knowing the tickets were on a holiday schedule so i only brought enough for me and my sister (shes 10). i get to the ticket window and find out i only have enough for one person, me or my sister. i very rarely get to ski with my sister so i was pissed. I let her ski by herself and i just watched from the bottom of the hill. so heres my rhetorical question... Why would camelback make it a holiday if the schools in PA (where the mountain is and most of its business comes from) take a week long holiday just because schools in NY had off? it seems to me that CB really is all about money. and this is not the only time i got screwed over at camelback for no reason. but i will admit it is somewhat my fault. still...for a week CB just completely forgot that the holiday they were "celebrating" wasn't even legit. But hey, NY is were the moneys at right? at least for two weekends

i got a pair of lines, the 153's, theyre the old version of the 1260's. theyre about 3 or 4 years old but have only been skiid on for 2 years (1 year park, 1 year all mtn.). Significant scratches on the top sheets, but no chunks that are real big. the edges will need a little work, theyre just rounded and grooved, mainly under the boot. As some of you know, lines have had problems with delaminating, these havent yet but they show signs that they could. I also have a pair of salomon s810 bindings. orange and black with risers. everything is working good mechanically, they just have scratches on them. this binding is in no way a good park binding UNLESS, youre not very good and dont try new tricks and slides. They will most likely release if you try to disaster a rail or land a little crooked (even if you could save it on another brand of bindings). Its really only a good race/downhill binding, or if you just ride groomed trails. *the bindings are mounted on the skis at the recomended place with a boot size of 325mm. I will sell them seperately if i get offers. **if no one wants them on here i will be at the nestors sale in quakertown. o...i also have a pair of brand new, never used ski blades. the brand is "magic blade" model, "fluid"...ive never heard of it but they have really good construction
-
^^ or line 153's with s810 bindings
-
ill be there with 3 others, but we all ski

i was also wondering why there are only two lifts at the bottom that service the top, and theres no lift that just goes to the top of the half pipe/park. the lifts there are really slow.
