They Say that every year to deter noobs from crowding the slopes. The truth is, most of the terrain off the NRT is pretty easy stuff IMHO. That being said, base depths early season sometimes don't allow grooming, so there could be some challenging conditions on even the beginner terrain. That is most likely why they advertise for advanced skiers only...

It I definitely a boon to the local economy. I don't think anyone would argue there. I'm sure it really helps infuse money into the hotel and restaurant industry in the surrounding area also. I really dont want to see any resort sit vacant, especially one that has had most of its infrastructure, except for lifts, significantly upgraded in the recent past. I don't know where hey will get it from, but I'm hoping they get the cash infusion they need from somewhere fast...

I'll also be the first person to admit that I have no idea what proper reporting procedure is... I would bet that if I waited until all the snow had stopped and measured, that it would have been much closer to that 7" mark...

Southside up on top of the mountain. I knew somebody would comment, but at like 6 PM there was a solid 9 inches when i measured. It was super wet (obviously) and packed down really quickly when it stopped. Plus the ground was fairly warm when it started so it melted from underneath too... I measured on a wooded surface, so I'm sure that helped protect from the melt underneath... It disappeared quick... I should have done a Steeze hourly update...

I thought someone told me once he did, but nobody actually confirmed that for me...

I don't get anything less for my gloves... Haven't sprung the extra bills on pants or a jacket, but if I go to SR, then I'll probably get at least one pair... I'll know next week...

Amazing stuff!!! Glad you got out there to get it. I was in the LV for a wedding and should have brought my stuff to get in some turns, but when I left, there was only 4-6 inches advertised and I didn't think it would be enough. Bad call as Bethlehem got close to 10-11 inches before it stopped...

I'm actually in the valley for a wedding tomorrow. I'm stoked. May stay the extra day to get some snow. I'm just excited that the race is on.

From what I've seen, the RFID really doesn't cut down on employees. The old scanning system was pretty nice, but it was susceptible to poaching. I hope Sno pulls it out, but I think somebody will pick it up, especially with the waterpark at least being started. It will definitely be easier to get it running again with the investments they've made...
