I didn't realize it was a fundraiser. I thought it was put on as some type of marketing gig. Either way, it was a great time and a great value. Elk and two great movies for $16 is a win in my book...

I didn't mind, because the movies were legit stoke, but I think that could help out a bunch... I was hoping there would be a better turnout on Saturday... I also wonder if having the venue in the pokes, in a more centrally located ski demographic would help...

I bet that once it cools down, it will stay cool... I would expect good offerings in the NE this year...

Looks like a snowmaking window may open up in the NE Thurs-Sat... Then temps back in the upper 40s with lows in the mid 30s... I bet the River tries to open T2 for Halloween... Dont want to break the October streak lol

I'll be glad when I don't have to cut grass or spray weeds... I'd much rather have a hard frost to kill the chiggers and remaining mosquitoes...

Accuweather is the eternal optimist. I find they are always 5 degrees lower than the actual. However, even at 5 degrees, that leaves the opening for another November 9th opening. It's unlikely, but the cold temperatures will have to arrive sometime. It's been fall too long lol

It's warming up quite nicely this morning. Already traded the Sanuks back in for the flippy floppies. I'm predicting openings in two weeks (because I'm an optimist), so keep the cold weather gear ready...

Honestly, it's trending toward seasonal temperatures, so I wouldn't be surprised if it drops a couple more degrees, to see some snow... Snowmaking temps should be here within two weeks I think!!!

I checked Blakeslee on TWC, and I'm not seeing the Pokes snow :/

Im just hoping Sunday River gets dumped on... And then Saddleback... I've never been, but from the pictures I've seen, I can imagine that will be my mountain away from home lol

We came in skiers right near the end of La Nina and sat on the right side...

OutCold and I rolled in around 7:30 to catch the Meatheads film, which was awesome. We got to see the last part of Attack of La Nina by MSP, and wished we had seen it all... Maybe a turnout of 60. We will have to make it next year for the whole night...

I'll take it... River, Loaf, and SB avg 180", 235", and 225" respectively. 4 years ago they were all like 30% over that... I would take anything over average, but another year like that would be awesome lol

I would imagine there are some pretty good low angled glades (on and off map) on the top half of the mountain. I would imagine there are some steeper glades too, but unless those are getting some overblow from the trails, I would imagine they don't get very good coverage.
