  1. Sno might not have the upfront cash to implement to a RFID system... I'm sure they aren't cheap...
  2. Whats the BC price this year? Probably not that bad if it like previous years...
  3. Thanks for taking the time to explain some of the issues more in depth. It all makes sense. It also makes sense that the media blew everything out of proportion. I'm just excited to see sno back for another year.
  4. I think that's a drastic statement, but there is definitely more going on that we can't see from our view in the general public. My guess is they over leveraged themselves or used their cash reserves for operation towards improvements. I can't imagine how much cash they dropped on the new snowmaking system and building the waterpark, some parts (some expensive parts) twice. Like I said, I'm not trashing on the place, and I think we can all agree that they have been busier in the last 5 years, but we all find it very odd that year in and year out they seem to be having some issue with liens. I hope it's all ironed out after this year. Oh, great pics!!! No better evidence than pictures, or financial statements lol
  5. I haven't even looked at it, but props to you for being legit Saurus...
  6. I hope I'm a decent ski patroller... I don't want to be that guy...
  7. Have there ever been crowds? Even at Montage?
  8. Sno would be a good change of pace, but if it was between Elk or Sno, theres no debate... Both have slow lifts, but elk has more T2B trails and better snow... Go to Elk both days unless you want variety lol
  9. I would have to agree... I feel like every year they make more money, but every year they also have liens... I know it's a private company, but the only way to tell for real are to see the books. I hope they make it, but it hasnt looked good for awhile... Key the Johnny Law fail horn lol
  10. Good to hear, but shouldn't someone have been there to at least answer the phone? I guess we will see what's really cooking in about 6 weeks...
  11. I was expecting a great write up on all the progress they are making when I saw the title. Year after year they have struggled to live up to expectations. Despite their past history of having trouble paying bills, they always seem to have profitability right around the corner. I haven't been to Sno, and although I would one day like to, I don't have the overwhelming desire to do so. I want to see the ski area survive, but it seems to be a pipe dream. If anything, the resort is in much better shape now than 5 years ago. It would be much more appealing to a new owner. Let's just hope they can get it all together to open up this year.
  12. Does Mt. Pocono have trauma?
  13. In fact, lots of these "trails" lack vert, pitch, and character... I would bet it almost detracts from the mountain, especially if the patrons go for the terrain...
  14. That is an awesome pick up... If I ever get a place up north, I'm snagging one lol
  15. I don't even know what my top 5 in the East would be since my East experience is pretty limited. I have a bunch of places on my hit list I haven't made it to yet that probably should be on it. So I wouldn't even attempt to make a list.
  16. At least Nightmare and Dreamweaver were legitimate trails. How many more trails can they fit in the current trail footprint?
  17. I do like Ludlow. I've got to give them some credit there. Definitely a family friendly town for a family friendly resort. But #4? lol for rankings...
  18. Okemo #4? Wow... Even if it is BS lol
  19. They are making fun of me lol
  20. Same for the northeast, but it isn't supposed to drop significantly within the 10 day... Temps at the early season resorts won't drop below upper 30s at night for awhile...
  21. I know PA doesn't always have the greatest conditions, but if you can make sure the conditions are decent when you go for the first couple of trips, to break her in, then she will enjoy herself and likely want to keep going. If it is always an ice bowl or raining, then she probably won't like it as much. I know its tough to do in PA, since we are usually happy just to have something to ride on, but that might help. If she goes through the worst conditions and still likes it, then I guess you won't have to divorce her
  22. Loveland posted that their opening day will be tomorrow. They will be the first resort open for the entire season. Their early season offering is pretty legit. Lift served 1000 feet. They weren't the first, but I think this may be one of the earliest openings to date.
  23. I hope you at least taught her how to ride then
  24. Time to get a smart phone vinny!!! Check all that info on the fly... Outcold, GSS, Atomic Jeff, and I can all vouch for the iPhone...
  25. I can see the danger for sure... Probably doing some end of season mowing or something... Tunks is decently steep...
