Sally, patrollers in VT are covered under worker’s comp when you are on the job. Plus, if you make under a certain amount annually, I think you’re covered under some type of socialist healthcare coverage provided by the state. Not that I’m promoting that, but there are safety nets built in for the large amount of seasonal work in VT. Also, Sugarbush opens Saturday. I could see a pass holder day on Friday. They did the same thing last year. Sounds like they are trying to avoid Deathspout two years in a row, so opening likely off Valley House Quad for Snowball and Spring Fling. I expect they will open the top of the mountain including Jester, Organgrinder, Downspout, and Valley House Traverse next Wednesday ahead of Thanksgiving. I’ll be there Sunday...

It doesn’t look like there will be temps for snowmaking Friday to resurface, so I still think the most likely scenario is that they open Friday. Just groom out the crud and let the jibhonks have at it...

Hunter will probably be open Friday if the storm stays all snow up there. That’s one snowmaking system you should never doubt...

I guess I didn’t know the drive time to Bell from your location was actually faster than BB. Bell is a no brainer. It’s a fun mountain. I’d be interested to get back and try the new bridge trail and gondola. Did I hear they were blowing snow on it already? BB is providing some good snowmaking pictures today as well. Looks like they are filling in the blanks pretty well...

Looks like BB is pounding Freedom right now. Can’t tell if Blue is doing the same because the cameras are pointed funky...

At the very least, Root may have to go to BB for Root Friday...

It’s still 34 at BB. I can’t imagine the temps are going to get low enough to make it worth Blue’s while. They don’t have the temps to blow tomorrow during the day...

I’d like to. Not sure how the schedule will work this year. Work is packed and the wife has some ski instructing certifications she would like to work on. Might be using all the time I have to run to VT.
