  1. It's dumping up here. It's super light titty sparkles. 1.5" to 2" so far with another 2"-4" expected.
  2. All our vouchers are run through Guest Services as well. Like GSS said, when we evac you from a chair or you sit on it for an extended period of time, you are issued a ticket that can then be redeemed at Guest Services. We don't know what that ticket redemption will be for. It is decided by upper management and is decided based on the amount of time you were on the lift, the time of day you were stuck on the lift, and the temperature outside while you were stuck on said lift.
  3. There's a shocker... A person from Jersey driving like an asshole...
  4. It has been awhile since I wrote a report, so I figured I would give my fellow flat landers an update on how things were this week. I decided to go into ME today to get in some runs. With over 20" of snow last week and ropes dropping everywhere, it has been a blast. I got to the mountain at about noon and hit the GMX. I started out on a nice mellow run down a groomed Northstar. Snow was very easy to edge. Straight Shot had similar conditions. Decided to hit Cruiser next which had some chopped up natural, but great coverage for having no snowmaking. Then rode up NRX and hit Rim Run to Looking Good. It was Looking Good's first day of grooming, so conditions were variable. Looked in the woods off Looking Good since they are the flattest woods around, but it's still too thin. Proceeded to hit Encore, Hammerhead, Cliffs, and Tumbler. All of them had fantastic snow. Cliffs was easily the ROTD. Full coverage with soft snow and no obstacles. Tumbler had good snow but was starting to get scraped off and a little rocky. Encore and Hammerhead still had perfect coverage. Went down Elbow once, but 3/4 of the trail was being used by GMVS, so the sides for public traffic were a bit slick. Ended my day with a run down Bravo to Exterminator, and it was also starting to get a little rocky. Snow guns were blasting at the base of the mountain and on Lower Crackerjack. It's definitely starting to look like winter. It's worth the drive.

  5. I also picked up some powerball tickets. Seems futile, but on the most minute of chances that you win, it would be the best return on your investment ever.
  6. Those are some impressive snow mounds...
  7. Schiff and Turd Ferg will be all over it...
  8. I've slacked on them the past couple years. I'll try to bring them back.
  9. I think I came around in 08. Hard to believe it's been 7 for me.
  10. Picked up 3-6" depending on elevation here. Not much wind. Currently -8 at the top. Bottom lift is on maintenance delay, so I'm at the top hanging out until it's cleared.
  11. Acceptable I guess. See, I don't know everything about every mountain...
  12. They still have more capacity than the Bush with a broken pump, and we have way more ground to cover on a single opening day trail. They could have gotten it done.
  13. I would agree. It's usually not a problem, and if you're early, then you can park in the first lot to the "access road" and avoid the crowds. Sometimes you can sneak into the upper lot before they block it off. When are you thinking of going?
  14. There's a bunch of acreage to cover down low, but they can get it done. They have three times the amount of firepower on lower main street that we ever have on anything.
  15. Hopefully your t2b. Did I see that they aren't blowing all of Main Street? Same setup as opening day?
  16. It's not really a problem. They used to allow everyone to ride the quad to the top and then ski down to get a lift ticket, but they kept abusing it, so they ended up axing that. Season Pass Holders can still avoid it.
  17. POC, the "shuttle" is a truck with an open back that has built in benches and steps off it. It's not enclosed...
  18. Im hoping/expecting 3" more. It's still going heavy and the precip on the radar hasn't moved at all. I could go for 6" of fresh on my first day back. They have started opening some natural stuff, so it looks like I picked a good week to come back... Crowds should be minimal as well...
  19. It's tough to gauge because I wasn't here until 6:30, and they have been plowing. There are also significant drifts, so it could be closer to that. Wasn't much going on at Killington either...
  20. Last 30 minutes from Hancock to the Bush were dicey. Extreme elevation based upslope. Probably 3" of fresh at 1,700'. Still going. Wind picking up too.
  21. We have two new posters in this thread. We must scare them off!!!
  22. As if it isn't expensive enough... I can't imagine there are a bunch of them outstanding depending on the cost...
  23. I believe you have an option between a pro rata refund and putting that same pro rata amount towards next years pass. Has it always been an add on? I thought it was standard...
  24. No Doug, Thank You!!!
  25. Awesome photo. Right place at the right time. Glad to see things are looking up for you guys. Way to get after it.
